have you seen the show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?  I think it is great.  It really just shows how much useless crap you learn in school that never follows you through life.

I have so realized that I am not smarter than them, although I didn't think I would be, when considering the questions that are asked.

I love sitting and watching it wiht my daughter, who is in 3rd grade.  She loves it too, because she actually gets more answers correct that I do.  In fact we have started recording it and my daughter takes it to school and the teacher has the kids watch it and actually answer the questions.

It is great that the teacher uses it as a learning tool for the kids in her class.  Of course the kids think it is so much fun.  My daughter isn't allowed to participate since we watch it at home, but she helps the teacher.

I am actually surprised that more of the other kids do not watch it at home.  It really is a fun game show.  If you haven't watched it, you should, especially if you have elementary age kids at home.

Lucky for me, I have so far at least been smarter than the adult contestants on the show.  It is really helping my daughter with self esteem too, because she can answer more questions than me.

It is so much fun.

Cagney, I love this show. We all watched it tonight and it was great fun seeing us all so stupid!  I had a great run and wouldn't have needed any help when the guy was on that was a personal trainer.  Yes, I even got the small intestine answer correct and explained my reason behind it before he did, lol!  As long as I THINK I'm smarter than my Husband, I'm happy!  LOL!

Daily - We were watching it as I posted this blog.  I just love it so much.  It really is a great show for the family to watch together.  As long as my husband BELIEVES that I am smarter than him, I am happy!  :)

Can you guys believe that the million dollar question is a high school question???  It was an 11th grade question when that one lady made it that far!

i've seen it once or twice, but the thing i don't like about it is that it follows the trend of every game show lately: ask one question every 5 minutes.

secretlife - My daughter is in 3rd grade and she is way better at the show than I am.  I'm not even smarter than a 3rd grader...boo hoo.

daily - Yea, I can't believe that the lady dropped out.  I was looking forward to seeing the question, although I have a sneaky suspicion that I would have not known the answer anyways.  I'm 20 years out of high school and I don't think I remember much of anything that I was taught there.  Sad.

silverwhisper - yea, it is a game show, so we do have to put up with the extra chit chat and too many commercials, but it is still a lot of fun, especially if you have elementary age kids to watch it with.

I am drowning my sorrows in a bowl full of kid's cereal - Cookie Crisp, dinner of champions. I could have easily made a case for eating cookies for dinner, but at least this way I can pretend to have eaten real food.

My sister asked if she could share my email address with someone who was a classmate of mine back in high school. I said yes, of course. Right there, I should have given that more thought.

Well, SC - I am teetering on the brink. It seems like I should be a lot more upset than I actually am, but I am taking consolation in the knowledge that I have done the absolute best that I could. Also, there's still a chance I can achieve the grades...
Maybe it won't go down like this, but it's getting close to the wire. My academic performance is slightly better, but inconsistent, and there's no way to know if I will make the grade until we see how I do on my final exams in a few weeks.

6 more days - sounds crazy, but this is the longest I have ever gone without seeing my family, and I can't wait to go home!

My advisor made me promise I would come back - yeah, I promise. I have unfinished business here, LOL, and as much as ...
