When i was around 10 years old, i went out of the Philippines for the first time.
I went to Singapore. I felt so excited because that was my first plane ride but of course, i already forgot what that first time feeling was. Since that was my first time, i remember keeping everything i can like brochures, leaflets, tickets etc... even tissue from the plane!!! but now, i dont even keep tickets, only more photos of everything. there was no digicam back then.
I just remember going to Ju-rong bird park, sentose island, the cable car ride. i forgot the rest. i hope i kept the itenenary that time. singapores food is generally good. also, communication is easy among the locals if you know fookien so i had no problem.
We stayed at the Hotel in Orchard rd. its Le Meridien hotel. We joined a tour group so not so much fun like the tours we join nowadays because, if for example we go out of the country nowadays, we keep it private. i mean, only our uncles, aunts and cousins or close friends are allowed to join us. its more fun that way i think. but its also fun to join other tour groups because you will get to know more friends.
I remember i bought a banana shaped voice recorder that can record about 10 seconds worth of voice. that was cool back then. today? its already crap :p
I dont really enjoy zoos or birdparks now but back then, i did. we didnt join the night safari because its you wont see a thing. thats what the peeple there said. and the second time i went to singapore, which i will tell nexet time, i joined the night safari, they were right.
