I never call off work for frivolous reasons.  I only call off when I am sick enough to not get out bed or an emergency happens with my family.  Other than that I am very reliable and very dependable!  But I just couldn't take another day!

The past week has been horrible!  Two of the last 4 days I worked, I haven't have a break or lunch all day.  There were plenty of people around, just no one took the time to help out a co-worker.  I make it a point to see if someone needs a break, especially in long or difficult cases and rooms that have ENT (they are usually only 5 to 10 minutes long and so there are around 5 cases scheduled per hour...exhausting).

On Easter Sunday, I worked 2nd shift.  There were 4 people scheduled to work; 2 nurses and 2 techs.  We did 4 cases before 7pm,  and then one team took the stabbing trauma and my team took the organ harvesting.

Yesterday, I worked all day, no lunch, no breaks.

I'm tired of the abuse and ready to go somewhere else!  Hopefully, a day off will help me clear my head!
