Allow me to vent at this juncture
The army is a safe haven for those who didn't quite meet the standard intellectually in high school or any other facet of life. Of course there are those with above average intelligence who decided to serve their country but for the most part, they are dumb. Even in the top tier of intelligence in the army, I am surrounded by incompetence. To make matters worse, these individuals that saunter about mindlessly for 20 years to get that oh so great pension are my superiors.( the term superior used strictly in relation to subordination).
You may say I lack patriotism or respect for my elders, which may be true but, don't join the army. For God sakes, don't do it. The insanity will invade your mind and you will become one of them and then you will invade another and then he will...................................

Some of the soldiers serving in the army may lack some intelligence just as some civilians do in many fields of work. I'm in the officer corps and I can truly say that many of the people whom I've met serving in the military are extremely intelligent. Who ever started this post is a moron... you need to educate yourself on the military before making such demeaning remarks. Idiot! -
