I was just wondering if a coke in a glass bottle does not taste better than one in a tin can or plast. The same thing applies to beer or any other drink. Don't you think so

My sister-in-law thinks so. I don't really feel that way.

I think I notice a difference, but I can't really label it "better" or "worse".

I think it has something to do with chemicals.

skald- People used to tell me they thought drinks tasted better from glass. It has been so long I've had  experience from glass, its difficult for me to say.

It does seem reasonable for taste to be better from glass than cans or plastic. I know one person who takes this a step further. He won't pour from a plastic container into plastic, it has to be glass. He swears it makes a difference.

beyond and Ed. this came to me because I had  a drink out of a glass bottle and I could swear it tasted better. Had not thought about this for ages.

I remember when in this area they stopped bottling in glass I was convinced there was a significat difference.  The bottlers of course proclaimed loudly that plastic didn't affect the flavor, but I didn't buy it.  Now they are starting to bottle beer in plastic.  Yuks!

Right. They are also selling one brand of Icelandic  beer in plastic bottles and advertising that it is good to take it camping.
