Ever had weird things happen, small or big that seem more than a coincidence?  Ever figure out what they mean?

For me lately I've noticed lights.  Such as when I am driving home and a street light goes out or a light bulb at home when I'm feeling strange and it goes out when I will defeintly notice.  This happened a few months ago, and it scared me a little because I figured something going out isn't a good sign, it didn't happen once but several times.  Then I moved away and lights were coming on, instead of off.  Now lights are going off then back on by themselves!  It's happened a couple of times in the last few days and I wonder what it means or if I'm being silly.  I like that they come back on, it's like hope or a miracle of some sort is what it's saying, but perhaps theres more.

Some years ago we had a few forest fires, one in particular was the closest I had ever seen, back then, to where I lived.  Usually they were far and you just saw smoke, but this one in particular you could see the flames from the window.  I remember feeling some sort of dread or doom just from seeing it so close, and just a little later the worst things in my life happened.

I think I've read about strange sorts of coincidences before, has anybody felt or experienced this?

I have experienced quite a few coincidences.  The biggest one is that I will be reading a book and the same word will be said on tv. This happens alot! Once I saw a guy I had known in grade school who had given me a rose on the last day of school.  I kept in the freezer all that summer.  Just as we were talking about it, a lady came in selling roses.  He bought me one--and I kept it in my freezer for awhile.  He was married and off limits then, but that was definitly strange....

Silver: Ooh I'll say!  Glad it doesn't just happen to me hehe.

Wombat:  Those are pretty weird, the rose one is kinda cute though, to bad he was off limits.  I wonder if those words you read and hear have any sort of meaning for later on.

From what I have read of "the strange things in life"  it is a "marker" of sorts, to let you know you are in the right place at the right time in your path.  (the words thing)  When we were moving up here in the U-Haul cross country, I was reading a book and came to a paragraph about an American Indian tribe I had never heard of.  I looked up--and there was a roadsign about them beside me.  I mentioned it, then showed my hubby the word in my book.  He almost ran off the road.

Wombat: Oh wow!  Thats a pretty good one.  I love stuff like this, it makes everything seem not so cold, but more connected.  A "marker" of sorts makes sense for some reason on that one.  Is this a book "the strange things in life" or you mean your own figuring out?

I must confess that I think I got that idea from reading Sylvia Browne's books, which I don't necessarially believe in all of the things she writes, but still, some things still apply to my life.  I am still reading, learning, searching and thinking--about everything.

whoa! these "coinicidences" are neat! All I know is that many many times I have said a word aloud and then that word is said by a character on the ole boob tube...sometimes its a phrase too...

    Greetings ninjapirate!

How would you all feel if I told you that this is how God talks to you?  I have been "strange" my whole life ; ) but in 1981, I finally stopped fighting being "weird" and I surrendered my life to God, Jesus and my destiny.

My whole life, I was told how weird I was, so I finally figured out that I must be a human instrument with a specific purpose!  Anyway, I found the scripture, and asked God to teach me directly.  Wow...did the "coincidences" increase exponentially!

Street lights going on and off...often just as I passed by them, and then back on when I had passed (so I knew it wasn't the timers)...street signs and songs on the radio saying the same thing as I drove by them...people saying things to me as I was reading the words elsewhere and while something plays on the tv about the same thing at the same time!  On and on and on.  I was in my own private little world with God, and as I listened, and became aware of his voice, I could discern the enemy's "voice" as the interference that he intends it to be, as well.  1982-83, was one of the weirdest years of my life.  After I got used to it, I am certainly just as strange; but much more comfortable with it ; )

The lure, or the temptation, is to get into the occult, and so, I investigated it, but never doubted who my protector is.  I ended up being much more fascinated with science and classic and quantum physics in particular, to explain the world.

This blog entry, for example, ninjapirate...Your blog and many others right now, are also messages to me from God.  He has been telling me to write about my quantum faith, and that it is high time indeed.  I have been distracted by many worldly things, and it has taken us many, many years to learn to MAKE time for my online ministry, because it is all about this...the real questions that you, and so many others have.  What does all this mean, and what is my place in "it"?

So, I thank God for you, and your blog.  I also am grateful that you are all having these experiences and that you are brave enought to write about them

I look forward to our continued discussions.

btw...there is no such thing as "coincidence" ; )
  • KayRoseOrchid said on Apr 05, 2007....
really? then what do we call these things that happen to us truthsayer? I am very interested in what you have to say!

    =)

By the way ninja, miss you miss you miss you!
  • truthsayer said on Apr 05, 2007....

I am so bummed out right now KayRoseOrchid.  I just blogged for two hours on a paper about quantum physics and faith...and pushed my Publish button, and soulcast lost it, forever.  So I doubt that I have much that will sound very positive right now ; )

But anyway, suffice to say that we get "glimpses" of other realities, or other possibilities all the time.  Most people really don't notice, or if they do notice, they spend the rest of their lives discounting these unusual experiences.  I mean, the experiences got our attention in the first place (which isn't easy to do in this age of information overload ; ) but instead of considering what they mean, to us, we tend, I mean "humans" tend to lose the awareness of them, or seek to lose the awareness of them, because they challenge our perception of reality.  In my understanding, in my estimation, in my experience.

    Thanks for asking KayRoseOrchid.

Oh no truthsayer! That is a shame you lost that blog!

"Glimpses"...I like that and agree with you. I have had other experiences that make me consider what they mean. I think about them off and on, but still do not know what they mean.

1.) When I was 14, it was a Sunday morning around 6:30 am and I woke up with a start. I said "Amy!" and was panicked. Then, I fell back asleep. When I woke up about 3 hours later it was due to the phone ringing. My former babysitter and next door neighbor Amy had died. I was shaken for I had woken up (6:30 am) at the time of her death and I had seen a vision of her. She had wings and was flying up to the heavens. She looked me in the eye, unfrightened and accepting of her fate. A few days later at her funeral I found out that she had told her parents right before her death that she was leaving to go be with her friend who had died in a car crash exactly a year before. She said it was time to go.

2.) When I was 17, it was early March and my family knew my Grandfather had pneumonia. We got a call at around 10:30 pm one evening and were told that it would probably kill him. At 11:27 pm I was in bed tossing and turning and I had a vision of my poor Grandfather laying in bed with his arms raised up to the sky. I said "Grandpa" to myself and cried. At 11:30 pm the phone rang. Grandpa died and my aunt that was with him said he raised his arms up to the sky like he was reaching out for someone to take him to heaven.

3.) I was around 18-181/2 and having a rough night of sleep. I woke up at 4:30 am. Something didn't feel right. I felt frightened. It was an early Tuesday morning. Come Thursday morning of the same week the phone rang and I answered it. My Aunt was sobbing and I couldn't make out the words. Finally I interpreted "Brian died." I burst out in tears and ran to my Mom and gave her the phone. When she got off the phone she said that the coroner's office determined he had been dead since Tuesday. The alcohol killed him.

Wow KayRoseOrchid, that is a wealth of powerful experiences.  Have they drawn you nearer to God?  Do you believe that he reveals things to people, even today?  I take it by your references to heaven, that you are a Christian, right?

  • KayRoseOrchid said on Apr 06, 2007....
Yes truthsayer, I consider myself a Christian. I am a spiritual being. I don't know anything about The Bible and I do not go to church. I do not feel it is necessary for me. Yet, I feel that God does reveal things to me in dreams or visions, as well as in reality. The experiences I have lived through this past school year and the other students I have met at my college were all meant to send a message to me. I feel that God put me through these experiences in order to make me find the girl I used to be.
  • truthsayer said on Apr 06, 2007....

Well, he gave you some experiences that you will never forget, to help you remember who you are, that's for sure.  I don't know about church, it is such a personal thing.  I would never advise you about that.  But I would encourage you to read the Bible.  It will help you to know who you are too...maybe wonderful things that you never knew before, so that you are not only reclaiming who you used to be, but learning who you were born to be, designed to be.  Not what the "world" says you are, but who the lover of your soul says you are, to him, and in his own words.

Just a thought, you might seriously consider on your journey to the truth.

Hmmm...you may have just clarified something for me.  Perhaps it would be better to blog about the "glimpses" than what I had written earlier tonight.

    Thank you KRoseOrchid.

Sure truthsayer! I am sure I will read The Bible at some point. It is difficult to read right now because college keeps me busy. I have 5 books already lined up for summer reading too! I'll keep my eyes peeled for the blog and when I can I will read some of your past blogs.

    =)

Wombat:  Oh I see!  Well I think it's good to keep learning and doing all those things you still are doing.  I know I sure am!

Truth:  How interesting!  I agree that these things have something to do with God and also that there are no conicidences!  I just am having a hard time seeing what is trying to be said to me.  Perhaps I am trying to hard.  I am glad you have found your way with God, especially taking it to the scienctific level.  A friend of mine brought up if I could somehow prove God with math hehe, but it would be pretty hard, or would it?  I think I would have really enjoyed the blog that didn't work!  Sorry it didn't, I wonder why? hmmm...

Kay:  Miss you tooo!!  And Wow!  I had no idea that you've experienced things like that!  Sorry to hear you've experienced so much loss though.  To me that definetly shows that these things aren't a conicidence!
  • KayRoseOrchid said on Apr 06, 2007....
Thanks ninja!!! I am ok and accept it though. I just wish I knew why I experienced these glimpses. Later babe ;P

I have heard the phrase "God-instances". It's like your 'glimpses', Truth. Very interesting experiences you've all had. I have too.

I've heard that sometimes, when we are experiencing a lot of emotion, the electrical impulses that our body naturally has get a little stronger, affecting the lights in our general area. Could be a reasonable explanation. I agree with Truth though. God speaks to us in our hearts. That translates to these glimpses. If we open ourselves to Him more fully, we'll have more understanding and peace. That's my thought anyway.

                              ^-^
  • truthsayer said on Apr 14, 2007....

Good thoughts AlisonMarie19.  God-Instances eh?  I like that.  It all depends on where your attention is, doesn't it?  Sometimes, He gets our attention in ways that we cannot ignore though!  Better to pay attention and seek His face I say.  ; )

Interesting about the "emotions" affecting experiences.  Not to muddy the waters with emotionalism, but to heighten our senses, yes?

He told me once that we are like 'generators'.  I never really knew what that mean, exactly...until I read this book I have been writing about.  I actually saw the word being used to explain us and our part in "reality".  I am looking forward to that chapter.

    Nice to see you again,

    truthsayer
