To deny your "Monster" is to deny yourself. Identify it, where in you does yours live? I'll tell you about my monster ... it's the one in you that lets you get angrier than you ever thought you able. How angry do you get at the man that stole your parking space, or the bitchy Starbuck's employee ... even worse ... your lover's "other". Go back in your mind ... remember that simple moment when you were so angry, and you just swalloed it all. Close your eyes and this time ... you grab the asshole by the throat ... pull him out, away from the crowd, throw him to the floor and begin kicking him ... beat him until he bleeds more than you've ever seen anyone bleed. Pound into his face again, and again until you're too tired to fight anymore and he can speak only enough to beg his life. Stand up and smile as you stare at him as you drip sweat into his blood ... then pull out a gun and watch him begin to cry, and squirm ... then laugh, and pull the trigger ... once, twice, four times ...
Now, open your eyes and relax ... let your nerves settle, and put your monster away. Now that you've brought it out in fantasy ... you can live with out exploding! This may be seen as "bad advice" but the ones who testify to that are the ones that are more likely to let their monster take over the real world instead of fantasy.
That's just how to deal with one type of "Monster". But find your monster ... where does he live ... let him out to play once in a while ... your nerves will settle and things will be easier.
