Well, I find myself joining the space age crowd through this new (for me anyway) medium. I feel like George Jetson; taking off into space for the first time. I guess I will learn as I go. My name is Michael, and I am a man who teaches Sunday school (adult) at a Christian Church. My wife and I also work with the high schoolers on Wednesdays, and I serve as a Deacon at our church. My class has told me that the messages which I share in class are too helpful for me to keep them only in our small environment, so I put them down on paper and submitted them to a publisher in book form. As a result, I have my first book coming out this fall. "What's Your Excuse?", is the title. It is a book which takes a common sense approach to looking at the everyday questions we all have about life, from the perspective of an everyday man, using everyday language which everyone understands. Questions which when we are honest with ourselves, we must admit we all have. Things like; Is there really a God? Why am I here, what is my purpose? What is a Christian? How do you become one? What happens after you are one? What happens when life ends? These are the kinds of questions I share commonsense answers to in my book, and will write about in this blog. It is not one more book of theology, written by one theologian to another; there are more than enough of those out there already. On this blog, I am going to share the same types of thoughts with all who care to read them. I hope to help make Christianity easier to understand for anyone who has struggled to do that, because it has been complicated by the "religious" people of the world; whether intended or not. Over time, I hope to help you to clearly see what God's kingdom is all about, and where you stand in relation to it. This will all be new for me, and may be new for all who join me, too. I'm looking forward to our time together, and hope you will find yourself looking forward to my entries. I hope to help as many as possible come to feel the same contentment with your life, and what you're doing with it--as I do. If you don't have that contentment, I urge you to come along on this journey which is starting today, and let's see where we can go together. I'm praying it will be the beginning of your walk for a lifetime...
