So, I've kept the story of this boy a bit closer to the vest cause, well, I'm tired of going on and on and having it end up as SHIT!!!! But, so far so good with this guy, so I thought I'd share!
I met this one at work about a month, 6 weeks ago. He does server support, yes, he's a smartie-pants. He drives the NICEST car holy shit!!! Mazda RX-8. I never care about what a guy drives at all, but DAMN this is a nice ride!! He actually has his OWN place in a beautiful gated community. He's got shoulder length black hair. Greenish-brown eyes. And, well, of course, he's a musician too. SHUT UP! You know I can't help myself. But he's not actively in a band, he does a lot of recording. So he doesn't have that prick attitude like some OTHER recent guy I've written about.
Anyway, the first day we met, within like 3 minutes, I was already mouthing off to him. Don't know why I knew I could, I just KNEW it. I needed to get someone to fix my computer and the guy who normally does wasn't at his desk, so this new guy offered, even though it's not his job. I'd never met him before, but he came over and helped me. Within just a few minutes I said to him, with a devilish grin on my face, and I quote, "Can you PLEASE just shut the fuck up and fix my fucking computer? Do you THINK you can do that?" He looked at me like my hair was on fire, then burst out laughing. It was GREAT!!!! Seriously, I don't know WHAT got into me!!! But for some reason I just knew it would be okay. He looked me straight in the face and said, "If you'd quit fuckin' bitchin' at me, maybe I could get this fuckin' thing fixed. Okay?" I ROARED with laughter! Some people you just click with, even if it IS over the "F" word! ;)
So we started chatting at work here and there, he gave me a few of his CDs. Then he quit and moved on to work at a very good company, which is great because I have a policy of not dating anyone I work with. Then we stared IMing each other all the time. Most of our conversations are like this:
Him: Fuck off bitch...make me dinner
Me: Eat shit and die. Feed your own damn self. I'm no slave
Him: You'll be mine if I want you to be
Me: Get over yourself fucker. I do what I want, when I want. Period. Learn to live with it.
Yep, that's my boy! Those of you who are really getting to know me have probably figured out that I like a verbal challenge!!! Well, I've found one!!!! It's SHOCKING that I've met someone who can keep up with me verbally. He actually shocks ME on occasion. I'm NEVER shocked, nor embarassed, and yet HE finds a way to do it. And I LOVE it!!!! I even blush! Now, keep in mind, if he ever called me a bitch and meant it I'd tear him limb from limb and he'd wish he was never born. This is obviously all in good fun. I am a psycho about the name calling if it's for real. But when we are joking around he can be so damn funny that I about vomit and cry with laughter. He totally keeps me on my toes!!
Finally, Sunday when we were IMing, he asked me out for Sunday night to grab dinner--first date! So we met up and had a 3 hour dinner and did nothing but talk and laugh and smile and talk. It was amazing! Then we went out to our cars, I saw his, drooled all over it, then we sat in his car listening to music and talking for another hour. It was wonderful. And when I got home, he called me to thank me for a wonderful evening! How damn romantic and sweet!!! Oh, and he asked me out for Tuesday, and I said yes!
So, we went out last night and had even MORE fun!!! We went to a bar that does this trivia game with a host and we came in 3rd. Not too bad since we were such a small team! And ladies, you know how some nights you are just "on" in a social situation? That was me last night. He kept saying to me, "Every time you go up to turn in our answers or you go to the ladies' room, all my buddies come over to me and ask if you are my girlfriend, tell me you are so hot and cool and funny." It was awesome!!! Hee hee. Always good to get approval from the buddies. It was kinda fun having his friends swarm around me all night. ;) Woo Hoo!!
When we left around 9:30 we went out to my car and did the "Is he gonna kiss me dance" for 30 minutes. It was like being 17 again. It was wonderful and nerve-racking and awesome. He finally wrapped it up with the sweetest, almost chaste peck on the lips. I felt like a virgin (almost am at this point!). So, I'm all foofy and happy and stupid right now. We have plans to go out next Tuesday for trivia night again, but I'm hoping to see him before then, or I may just lose my damn mind. I like the idea that that will make me lose my mind. I think I'm a little smitten. Just maybe????
It's so nice to feel all goofy and have it (I think) reciprocated. He seems to have a little crush on me at least. And it's also nice that he's so respectful. I know, he and I talk a LOT of trash, but when it comes down to it, he's very chivalrous, opens doors, pays for dinner, let's me order first and walk ahead of him into the restaurant and sit down first. All that stuff that girls love. And, after 2 dates, just a quick peck of a kiss. I love it when a man shows me respect. It's simply lovely.
So, keep your fingers crossed for Sunny! He and I chatted on IM all day today and had much fun, so, so far, so good. I'm doing a happy dance right now!!! :)
PS: And a quick thank you to all of you who told me to keep my heart open and knock down some of those walls I put up around me. If I hadn't listened to you I wouldn't be so happy right now. So thank you my wonderful SC friends. You have been wonderful and helpful and I love you!!!!

Hi Mom! Yeah...big sigh...he's a peach. He just called tonight and we talked and laughed our asses off for an hour and a half. I'm not even a phone girl, usually hate the phone since all I do is talk all day at the office, but we had SO much fun! My best friend was here and she said she'd never seen me like that before, all giggly and retarded!
He even let me put him on speaker phone and serenaded us with the theme songs from The Facts of Life, The Love Boat and The Greatest American Hero!!! Holy God! We were CRACKING UP!!! It was a riot!
