It's confirm, SEX sells in Soulcast!

Maybe some of you already knew this long ago, but what qualifies me to actually make this statement?

Well, i posted this sex-related post a week back, and i'm glad to say, it has just crossed the 100 views mark within such a short period of time! I'm not the post popular blogger in Soulcast and such slow progress is nothing to be proud of, i know. Compared to more popular post which can capture page views in excess of 3000, my progress is nothing to crow about.  Wait a minute!  Over 3000 page views for a post?  No offence intended, but is there a mistake somewhere, or did I just return from Mars?  Nevertheless, crossing 100 page views per post is still a milestone for me alright?

This is the first time I've blog about a topic sexual in nature and it has helped me reached a new milestone as all my previous posts average about a low 25page views.

No wait! I've just checked back and discovered the highest page views I managed to achieve for my post is actually 127 for this post here, posted in Nov 2006. But I'm sure it didn't cross the 100 mark within the space of 1 week.

Another post which cross the 100 views mark can be found here, this is my favorite post for 2006.

I'm hoping the page views for those tongue-in-cheek sex tips will very soon surpass my previous highs.  New readers of my blog want to help me out on this quest to reach a new high?

So anyone out there still not convince that SEX sell?

Have you struggled all your life to be accepted or even recognized?

hi Cam, did my blog post come across to you as so attention-seeking?
i apologise if it made you feel this way.

In fact, I feel very secure of myself, and do not suffer from any inferior complexity issue, and/or any personality disorder!

You know, I assume that my one post that garnered so much attention was probably because people thought I was a noob instead of taking kind of a poll which was what I meant.

I'm still surprised by the number of views, though.

In fact, I think that that particular post shows that sex does not sell. Confusion does.

I think we all seek attention in some manner, sex or not. I know I moved here from blogger/blogspot because I wasn't getting enough (or any) attention. This is just so much of a more active community. A community with better tools for finding the people and subjects that interest you, without being so big as to completely inundate you with information.

TS, thanks for your insight, now I know, confuse people rather than sex them up!

The basis of public blogging, sharing your thoughts and rants with the world, is born out of vanity in the most subtle form of attention-seeking.
Nobody can deny or dispute that, unless of course, you turn your blog private.

I am an attention hore! yep and I don't care actually if that classes me as somewhat struggling for recognition.

Sex has always sold - I wanted to get a message to friends one night and posted a tag line and description with highly sexual content really I just wanted to get a message but the only way I knew everyone I wanted to read it would was if I tagged it as such.

lucy: you should know by now that there are those who read you only b/c you throw around the word "sex" and others who are more interested in knowing the rest of you as a person.
