Where Do I Put My Hat In? Part Two
So the options are not ideal, and I am running out of 'warm' targets. Maybe individual compensation is a non-starter (hhmph!), but maybe these organisations including banks and insurers like Barclays and Lloyds of London that are so 'proud' of their longevity and history, should be exposed as the 'Butchers' Bankers' and should stump up some cash for the 'Home Nations'. There has already been an acknowledgement in the US that New York was built on the backs of unheralded African slaves and only a fool would argue with the fact that much of the transatlantic trade done today, has its roots (or indeed routes) in the slave trade.
The Original Holocaust
The Jewish Holocaust was an horrendous blemish on the history of mankind. Six million Jews murdered over two years. It has been acknowledged, documented and even compensated. Not so much the Blacks that were also interned in the concentration camps and genetic labs of Nazi Germany. Yes, there were Black victims of the Holocaust. There were Black Germans, born in Germany, who suffered greatly at the hands of the Nazis AND the liberating armies – look it up (http://www.black-history-month.co.uk/articles/holocaust_victims.html).
There have also been arrests, trials and executions of the guilty, but the 'Black Holocaust' was a far more reaching and extensive, institutionalised, accepted, open and free slaughter of a race of people than the Jewish Holocaust, that we know so much about – Hitler had to do it on the QT. Notice, I do not say worse, as inhumane slaughter cannot be quantified in such a way. What is worse? You lose your leg or I lose my arm?
Black people were treated as livestock, sometimes worse. The numbers cannot be ascertained exactly, but conservative estimates put the trade at over 12 million souls over 300 years…so compensate, they must. How and who? …this is a dilemma for us to solve. I know, above, I have dealt with this issue in a flippant way, but the fact remains that the institutions that made the TransAtlantic Slave Trade are still with us today. The nuts and bolts, of a trade that spawned Lynchings, the Ku Klux Klan, Segregation, and the demotion of the 'Man of Colour' globally, are still in place, thriving and controlling our lives.
The WHO, for years, had an aid program of sterilisation and contraception, where aid is given based on the local Government's commitment to contraception. Anybody who has been to Africa will realise that Africa is under-populated – you can walk for 10 miles and see no-one.
After the war, The World Bank originally had a policy of building infrastructure in African states, using African labour. But it was not long before the WB had a change of policy and started to give cash to emerging independent ex-colonies. This cash was given in the form of a loan, which became part of the National Debt. The short story on this is that this produced corrupt Heads of State that made ill-advised agreements for the resources of their homeland, while amassing huge personal wealth. Nigeria sold its oil, 10 years before it was mined!
The British Government is so quick to claim credit for stopping the Slave Trade, that they are insulted when you remind them who started and defended it. Maybe if other Colonial nations were not becoming so rich and powerful from it, Britain would not have seen the threat to her own sovereignty and decided to stop it. Lucky us…
Don't forget, that colonisation was a terrible form of slavery. The profit from the natural resources and trade of the region were funnelled to London, forming a terrifying precedent that still exists today. Who decides the price of a banana? The grower? The consumer?
The Catholic Church/Church of England (different branches of the same tree) had thousands of slaves. They were major slave owners in the Caribbean, so unless they did it for free, I imagine they benefited immensely from the labours of 'the poor captured souls'. No doubt, the Church decided that they were saving these savages from the devil and they would receive salvation in the next life, however, in this life the overseer will 'whip them into shape' – ever wondered where they saying came from?
The Church has become so steeped in hypocrisy through the years that they can no longer have a steadfast opinion on anything – as it opens up a massive historical 'worm-can' and there is no profit in it. They have become the Organisation of Suggestion. They will suggest that it is best to alleviate suffering and stop torturing, but they will not point to any individual Head of State or Country or Regime and campaign to prevent further injustice – oh, No…they prefer to stay apolitical – don't laugh!
The core plug of our entire global civilisation is directly linked, responsible and complicit in the control and destruction of indigenous tribes, environments and political idealism. It's all still there.
So you can apologise if you want to, it means nothing while you continue the New World form of economic slavery and political oppression. The continued efforts of globalism to conquer the world and its people, make a mockery of any attempts to appear human. The enforced and fragile 'democracy' in Iraq, smacks of empire building – so what's changed.
I'll take any compensation going – I'm ghetto - although I will not hold my breath, but, while people continue to live in slavery around this globe, with their environments and way of life destroyed, their political creativity stifled and free speech opposed in the relentless chase of the Dollar – I, personally, will refuse any apology.
Give it 200 years and they will be apologising for the New World Order and all it encompasses. If you apologise for yesterday, so that it is easier to do me tomorrow, then you can stick it.
And for all you Neo-fascists that think I should be grateful - you should be grateful that you have not yet paid the ultimate price for your crimes - that will come in someone else's lifetime.
I fight my wars with non-lethal weapons. The keystones of human existence – education, family and the sanctity of human life.
