When I come here, I usually go straight to "My Conversations" and also another tab has "Home -- Most Recent" in them.

How do you find interesting content on SoulCast?

I go to most recent. Since I have refocused my attentions on listening only, the most recent is the most logical start. Then I hit my conversations for follow up.

I usually first go to My Conversations to catch up on any conversations I have participated in. Then I go to the My Users tab to take a look at what those I have subscribed to have posted most recently. Then I go to the Home tab and take a look at the most recent page.

tin- Looks like we do it differently but accomplish the same thing. I start with most recent to keep up with general posts. Then to my users for the ones I subscribe to. Then to my conversations, but don't use it at every sitting. Featured posts I skim occasionally.

I do the same as Zayda.

LG it would be good to see you posting again.

I usually go to my page, post my entries and then get a look around -- i.e. my conversation and my interest.
If I want to read something interesting, I select the tags starting from my page and then go to others :)

I usually check "My Blog" first, if I have a recent one.  Then "My conversations" to see if there is someone to answer.  Finally, new posts, to catch up on the latest.  If I've recently had a lot of activity going--it takes awhile to get to "Most Recent."   Sometimes I see a good post that I just somehow missed out on altogether.

i keep three tabs open: my users, my conversations and my blog page. my link always takes me to the soulcast home page and from there i navigate to those pages so now & again, i refresh the soulcast home page to see if i've missed anything that might interest me.

i'm a manic page refresher of my users & my conversations. it's the only way i can try to keep up.

My link takes me to my blog first so I can see if there's anything new, then I go to the main page, My Conversations and My Users. I think I'll try the Most Recent tab.

I usually go to My Conversations. If I haven't been on in a while, I'll go to My Users. I eventually to to Most Recents

I use the rss feeds heavily (my users and my interests). I only come to the site to view 'my conversations' because it doesn't currently work right as an rss feed and to occasionally scan the home page.

btw, I use netvibes.com for my rss reading.

Tin.....first i go to "My users" to see if somebody i like has posted something new, then i go to "My conversation" to keep up with my comments and the comments people might have left on my posts......i hate not answering asap ...finally i go to "My home" to have a general idea of the posts...

I am like SW...constantly refreshing User and Conversation...

    I never use "My interest".

I go to my conversations first, then I will go to the new posts, and at night I go through everyone on my subscribed list to see what new stuff they have and try to comment.
  • TinSoldier said on Mar 26, 2007....
Thanks for the replies everyone. There always seems to be something new here...

I'm beginning to like the "Related Posts:" feature too.

I've been trying to come up with a system where I can comment more - I usually go to my conversations, and then work from right to left until I hit the featured posts.  Sometime, I only have time to get through my conversations and post.  well, like I said - I'm working on it
  • TinSoldier said on Mar 26, 2007....
So how are Featured Posts determined? It seems to me that Recent Posts are a more popular option.
  • wombat said on Mar 26, 2007....
It's the marathon, multi-posting that gets fun.  Sometimes I finally reach a point where I just can't keep up, or get tired and hungry!  But it usually begins by finally stopping looking at new posts, and going only with the ones you have commented on in the last few hours.  Then you have to zip back and forth like lightening, and remember where you are supposed to go next!  When I get into the zone, I can pull it off for awhile.  Sometimes, I am double-posting with someone.  Sometimes I miss something altogether until the next day.  Then I go, Oh, man, was I crazy last night, or what?

Yes, I am crazy!  And loving it!

TS--The featured posts are determined by an algorithm.

TinSoldier:  When they start using big grown-up words, I have to go play with my barrel of monkeys....

Zayda: I'm just being a smarty-puss.  But no, don't know what that means!  lol!

I start with my blog page, then look at what's new on the home page, and then check my conversations.  I bounce around as I read blogs.

I have just joined only two days ago and I have already made quite a few enemies in their eyes anyway. I have also made a few friends. I have logged more hours that I thought I would. It has given me something to do on the night shift. I am a aware of going to My blog but where is this my conversations tab everyone speaks of? Or are these the same and you're just screwing with the newbie?
  • jasonrest said on Apr 06, 2007....
Of course I found it 2 seconds after I put up the post. Please ignore the previous. Jasonrest is dumb. The link that I was using never took me to that page first.
    I'll be in the corner.

Go to the Soulcast homepage. Near the top center of the page you will see four tabs: Home, My Users, My Interests, My Conversations.

Some of those tabs have other links beneath them: Most Commented, Most Recent, etc. and below that you may have Today, This Week, This Month.

Any blog that you've posted on will appear in My Conversations so you can follow along with what's being commented on.

Heh, I'm new here too. I started almost two weeks ago!

    Heh. No problem!
