Just do it, get on with it! That's what we all say when we want a particularly distasteful or disagreeable condition or state to just about disappear.

Then, you don't even want to know how or why the cure works, as long as good health is assured or an improvement in circumstances is achieved.

Where is all this going? Complementary medicine versus conventional medicine.

The former is termed quackery, while the latter is termed science.

Both have common areas of influence, even though science is rather slow or reluctant to find out why complementary or alternative medicine works for many people around the globe.

Do you have some personal insight or experience to share?

    i can see the issue in treating these as traditionally western science courses, given their dependence upon notions not integral to the western understanding of science, to be honest. having said that, it describing it as nothing but sociology or anthropology is IMHO unwise.

    I agree with you - they just want to belittle the entire practice.

    Imagine calling quackery something as sophisticated and accurate as Chinese Astrology.
