I'm not actually going to post an erotic fantasy (at least not yet) but I'm guessing that people are way more likely to read blogs with sex in the title.

And I'm not going for money from the ads or anything. I kind of think that whole think is a scam. I'm going for readers. I want response and conversation, and I haven't gotten much of it yet.

Today I had an interview at a newspaper. They said they enjoyed my writing and liked my portfolio, but they didn't have any positions "at the current time." I wondered why I was interviewed in the first place. It irritates me that they'd lead me on like that.

I've been thinking a bit on the homosexuality thing. Everyone is claiming that it's a biological factor, some sort of mutation. If so, wouldn't numbers be increasing or decreasing, depending on the type of gene, at a specific rate? For instance, it's thought that in a few thousand years, natural blonde hair or blue eyes will be gone, for the genes are recessive. If the "gay" gene is recessive, it should be thinning out. If the "gay" gene is dominant, it should be increasing.

But I think the number of gay people has remained about the same for a while now. I don't think it's a biological factor. I do believe, politically at least, that gay rights should be implemented and they should be able to marry (maybe not in a church, though, unless the church gave its permission) and do anything that anyone else should be allowed to do. I don't understand why the only argument that gay rights advocates really have right now is the "it's biological!" one. Even if it's not biological, you can still claim the same rights out of simple freedom of choice.

The age of absolute scientific logic definitely has its ups and downs, and I'm thinking this is one of the former. I'm feeling very Descartes right now.

hello there! I've read all your blogs. you really seem like cool cat. I'm not really a cat person, but I like all the animals, so cats are good to go. I have a little puppy and some times I like him more than I like my own son. Not really but it can feel like that when my son is evel. About the gay situation I cannot write much. I don't think that marriage should be allowed between them, but not because I am prude. I just think that the whole marriege was created by the religious leaders upon man made rules. I think that G*d created men the way he did, and told them to reproduce. G*d himself did not tell us to get married but men saw how complicated it gets when the male humans fight for the females... So they came up with the whole marriage thing, when the female became somekinf of a subject of ownership. I don't like this whole idea. Also, men can marrie several times by some religions, or produce children by several women, while a women is limited to only one man. Bull***! I don't belive in marriage by chich, therefore I don't belive in gay marriage. I do belive in parental responsibilities so once there are children involved there must be some kind of law enforcing both parents to take responsibility after their children. So marriage is necessery to protect children. Again, gay marraige will protect no children.... Please don't bring adoption into this. I don;t know why you are thinkinga about gay matters but I think that you write well, and you are a smart girl. If you need a hand from a little more experience girl, I'm here for you.

Just dropping by a quick bit to say I've read some of your entries and what you said about setting up a blog here for the anonymity rang true with me as well. I felt the need to start anew somewhere that nobody knew who I was, be it my real life identity or the name I usually go by online. It's refreshing, I think, and hey, the ads aren't a lousy addition, nothing lost in checking them out. :P

rochella: the question you posted in your comment to my blog might be better addressed here, i think. i should note that the biological component for gayness does not get selected for during propagation. :> ed

rochella... you are great. My favorite explaination for the disorder "Gayness" is one I heard on Fox lately. Mr.Bill and his crew stated with authority that 80% of all gay men were the younger brothers of other sons. The implication was that in the mothers body anti-bodies to maleness are built up in her bloodstream after the birth of the first son. Fox stated with certaintity that these anti-bodies prevent the hormonal imprinting of correct "Maleness" in the subsequent sons. This however is complete Ludite bullcrap. "Gayness" is not a condition, disease or a disorder.

Rochella, this actually comes in two parts: (1) Writing. Writers write. I write. In fact, I write for a newspaper, as well as my blogs. I got back into newspapering by writing a letter to the editor. It ended up in a job. If you have to write for free, to start with, do it. In the early days of my 38 years in broadcasting, I probably worked for free for almost as many hours as I did for money, before I was finally able to make a living at it. Think of it as a prolonged audition. Free is almost always how it starts. Get a job doing something else at a place you think your writing talents would fit, then keep your eye out for the opportunity to strut your stuff. (2) On being gay ... I'm of the school that believes that the human race is inherently bisexual. Almost all boys go through a homosexual phase in their early sexual development. Seems that, these days, more and more gals are, too. Sometimes, these "choices" get hard-wired ... but it is NEVER a conscious decision. Come on over to my Soulcast blog and explore the wonderful world of sexuality with me. -lt-

Hi Rochella, New here but enjoying it. Thought I'd voice an opinion on the gay issue. I am gay and now live in Bangkok Thailand. I've read statistics that roughly 10% of the population worldwide are gay. That certainly isn't the case over here! Thailand is a Buddhist country and Buddhism doesn't say anything specifically on homosexuality, rather it touches on right conduct within a marriage or toward a person engaged or married. As a result many more people here are openly gay or even bisexual as there are very few sanctions against it from "church" or society in general. I firmly believe that homosexuality is genetic, just as our haircolor is. I wonder if we all lived in accepting societies if the real percentage of gay people worldwide wouldn't be acknowledged as being much greater. It's a joy to live in a society that for the most part is nonjudgemental toward gay people.
