Defining a Hypocrite

I'll admit it: I'm a hypocrite! But do I still qualify to be a hypocrite if I admit to being one? Isn't the term hypocrite supposed to be mentioned behing the back of a lying colleage or a judging relative? Okay, don't answer that, it could get ugly...
 
Just share some hypocrite encounters and tell me how much you love to hate them....
 
Definition: Hipocrite (pronounced "hee-po-krit") A term used for a person who preaches to other people about a certain habit being wrong while having the habit themselves. Eg. A father preaching to his son about the dangers of smoking while he smokes himself.

    i don't know about you, mouse, but if i think someone's a hyporite, i say it to that person's face when they're in the middle of being one. we see it all the time in politics, after all.

    silver: Now see, if I tell somebody their a hypocrite, they'll tell me I'm a hypocrite for calling them a hypocrite and a debate will start that will land them later in the ER of the local hospital ;)
     
    It was specifically politics I was refering to in this post, especialy politics in our local arts and culture. We have a debate here about an Afrikaans song that according to the government has provocative lyrics, but while they crucify that song, some of the leading party's supporters sings another more provocative song at their rally's.....? Was just wondering about hypocracy while shaking my head from side to side in amused disbelief. :)
