I just wanted to tell daily and the rest of you that flickr is weird. All of daily's pics work, but flickr does some kind of local caching or something that prevents images from showing up right away for everyone.

Bloc, I think the whole cacheing thing has something to do with the fact that when you link, Flickr wants you to link so that it embeds and points back to the photo page like Daily did with her picture.
They even say that according to their terms of service if you are linking to an outside web page, you should use option 1 (that embeds the picture in the post), rather than just providing a link to it. -

It was a fun time (and a weird time, too) but these days I prefer to stay anonymous and keep my boundaries a little tighter than they used to be.Except for bloc, who obviously knows me. Well here is the thing...my best friend Christina always says that too...her Mother in law is a beast! Here's what I do and I'm not making this up....I listen and I validate feelings. Particularly with my daughter in law. It's not easy raising kids and lord knows my son is a challenge. I know his goods and bads. Hell I raised him. I don't badmouth my son but I listen to what she is saying and I hear her frustrations if she chooses to talk to me. If I choose to offer her anything it's a night out alone without the kids, a gift certificate for her favorite store so she can finally buy something for herself because I know she never does because it's all about the kids and the bills. I sometimes buy her a milkshake and run by her house and run up to the door and say Hey this is for you and I don't stay....I don't impose or linger....I just bring her a treat.
I try to remember all the things I DETESTED about my own mother in law when I first got married and had babies and then I do the opposite of that. I'm flexible, go with the flow, never get sarcastic, don't overstep the boundaries, stop and say "we have to ask your mom first" when the kids beg me for gum in front of her. I've never told her which brand was better or what I used that worked wonders unless she specifically asked me point blank. For Christmas I'll give her money as a gift to spend on what she wants. That's what she really wants. To make her own choices. How presumptuous would it be of me to buy her some scent or some item that she has no use for or doesn't even like. What a waste of time, money and effort and the feelings that imparts? Ill feelings at best. I make it my business not to know what their bills are, whether they drink or smoke or party with friends, (hell I'd be willing to join them on occasion!) I don't care where or if they go to church because I believe in my heart that my son knows God and will teach his children what's right. I just always put myself in her shoes as much as possible.
Sorry ...whoops I just got on my little soap box there...but you know....geez it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to be a good PERSON first of all. What you want is someone friendly, someone supportive and someone that if you ever needed anything you could call and I think she knows that I'm all of that. And I absolutely ADORE Her and think she's the most amazing mom. No matter what happens ever I will always love her and think she is an amazing mom.
But I can adopt you as another daughter in law if you want. I'd be happy to be your cyber MIL. :)
Oh and the photography is a blast. It's a Nikon D70 and that's a big part of the photos being good.

My last picture I posted that I asked Bloc to take down, my hair was short in it. I want it back!
This is my first child. Sadly, she's no longer with us here. My Parent's adopted her. She was a BRAT when Little D came home from the hospital. Sniffing around her crib and just acting evil!
In this picture, I was at my high school reunion, the 10 year. This picture is of me and my 8th grade crush and we're still friends! My hair is long in that picture. It was only 3 weeks after Little Daily's cardiac surgery and I was DRUNK! I needed more than one to take the edge off.
Next up, my wedding day and the dress I HATED! This picture is when I saw my Husband for the first time. This picture is one of my favorites...how often do you get a chance to have your picture taken on a grand piano...
Well, I think I just outed myself, but I don't care right now, I took my medication, lol!
