The page you were looking for no longer exists

Well, I went to the doctor's today. My lovely little Middle Eastern pulmonologist. He really is a sweetheart, and a smart ass, but it's hidden under a thick layer of professionalism.

Guess what?  This is big, really big!  I no longer have to use oxygen during the daytime!  He said keep it around just in case you think you need it, and still use it at night, but as we speak, I am no longer tethered to a 50-foot length of plastic tubing!!

Thank You, God.

Oh Mimi that is WONDERFUL!  really really wonderful!

    Sweet freedom!

Does that mean you'll be rolling the streets of MissMimi Town tonight?

When I needed it I kept trying to figure a way to sell the stuff since O2 bars were popping up.  But I was more than grateful to have my 'air men' take the thing out of my home.

I couldn't be happier for you.  I love you MissMimiMimi.

(Why do I feel compelled to watch the 'edit seconds' tick down and feel the need to write more?! 17 seconds to go... ;))

Actually it's longer than a minute.  As long as I'm writing it seems it stops the clock... this isn't good news for any one. :D  But just one more thing -- I had to stop it at 1 seconds just because I could!  Oh the power of it all.

Damn there's a typo up there!  Gawd this is no place for me, absolutely no place.

Mimi- I am so happy for you.  What will you do with your new found freedom?  Want to go out dancing?  I could dip you.  We could tango and now that you don't have those tubes we won't tangle.

Hi Mimi -- You had me confused for a few seconds there when you said "I no longer have to use oxygen during the daytime."

    I was thinking, "Hey, that's a neat trick!" :-)

    Congratulations on your new-found freedom.

  • MissMimi said on Mar 14, 2007....

Thanks, all! At first what I thought was, "Oh, but I can't!" and I still am kind of nervous about it. But I went this evening without the tube, and didn't keel over so we'll see how it goes.

You all are such a blessing to me, every one of you.  I appreciate all the kind words and happy dances and mom, you little vixen, I'll tango with you any time.  :D

So how did it feel? I am so excited for you.
  • MissMimi said on Mar 14, 2007....

It felt okay, mom. I was sewing, not doing anything terribly physical. But it was okay.

Hey Z, maybe!  I might do that.  I'll swing by to pick you up.  I can think of a few people we could surprise...

  • mom said on Mar 14, 2007....
Well Mimi, you want to sign up for a marathon with me?  We can run and then hold each other up. :)
  • MissMimi said on Mar 14, 2007....
That oughta be real good on the ol' knees mom! And I hate getting sweaty if no slap and tickle is going on. How about if we sit in lawn chairs and ogle the cute male runners and wolf whistle? Maybe we can trip the really cute ones. :D I'll trip 'em and you can lasso 'em up good! LOL
  • petitepapillon said on Mar 14, 2007....

  • mom said on Mar 14, 2007....
Ok well, I will just sit if you sit by me.  I love to ogle the cute ones and I can dive on some and tackle them and then we can tie them up and goose 'em.

This is great, Mimi! Breathe deep, friend. In fact, as I read your post I thought of one of my favorite bits from a favorite album, Days of Future Passed by the Moody Blues:

    "Late Lament"

    Breathe deep the gathering gloom
Watch lights fade from every room
Bedsitter people look back and lament
    Another day's useless energy spent.

    Impassioned lovers wrestle as one,
Lonely man cries for love and has none.
New mother picks up and suckles her son,
Senior citizens wish they were young.

Cold hearted orb that rules the night,
Removes the colors from our sight.
Red is grey and yellow white,
But we decide which is right.
    And which is an illusion?
