So my monster in law has never relaly liked me. When I first started dating my husband she told him to dump me because I wasn't feminine enough for him. Whatever.
I try really hard to get along with her because she is my husband's mom and family is really important to me, but man she just is plain nuts. If it were up to me she would not be in our life, but it is up to my husband and even though she drives him nuts, he still loves her.
When my husband and I first moved into together we got a call from her. Mind you this is a call on our answering machine that was in our apartment because we were living together. Anyways, she was calling to let my husband know that she set him up on a blind date with a nice little christian girl.
What the fuck? We just couldn't believe it. Of course my husband called her back and told her she was nuts and that he was happy with me and oh yea, by the way, we are living together.
Crazy lady. She has come to our house and gone through our garbage many time before also. She is so lucky that my husband still allows her to be in our lives. I mean she already drove her other son away.
This is a good one. She didn't like his choice of girlfriend either. One time she took him shopping and bought him a brand new truck and when she gave him the keys, she told him he needed to use his new truck to go get his things out of her apartment and leave her.
the thing that finally got him to drop her and never speak to her again is when his girlfriends dad had a heart attack and my monster in law called the hospital and asked to speak to his girlfriends mom. When she got on the phone my monster in law went in to bitching about this womans daughter. My monster in law told this woman that her daughter was controlling, self centered, stuck up, bitch and that she needed to get that worthless piece of trash away from her son.
talk about tactless. Well, he showed her by never talking to her again. but now she is pushing the limits with me. She is just a fucking crazy, hypocritical, prejudice, flake. the worst part is that she doesn't thing she ever does anything wrong.

My best friend has a mother in law just like her. She is driven insane by this selfish nasty mean woman. I hear the stories all the time and I can't believe some of the crap she pulls. minniemouse - oh yea, she has many times said I was not a good mother, but I know better. She needs to look in the mirror the next time she makes parenting comments.

I am truly sorry, Cagney. My mother-in-law was a peach (she died a couple of years back). I think, from day one, she wanted to jump my bones. (Hell, her mother wanted to jump my bones, or at least acted like it.) She was still young then. I think she was only about 17 or 18 when she had my wife. My wife was always the one my MIL gave the business. My brother-in-law was her favorite child. Try to hold on untill all your family and in-laws are deceased. Then you can have a few years peace. Of course, then the kids may make you life a living hell. I figure that is what marriage is all about--God's way of showing us what hell is like.

I love that I can come on here and bitch about her, and I know there is no way she will ever find this because she can't even seem to figure out how to send email. She calls me all the time saying her email doesn't work. She has no clue.
Well I do try to shave my mustache but you know sometimes I just forget. LOL
Actually I am a tomboy and always have been. I don't wear make-up, I rarely wear dresses. That is why she thinks I am not feminine enough. Whatever. I'm feminine enough where it counts and my husband has no complaints.
