My monster in law just drives me batty. She is so crazy and I am not kdding. She has been complaining for months about the message on our answering machine. She even called my mom to complain to her and tell her that she should have me change the message. She says she can't understand what is being said.
So, my message. One day I decided to surprise my 8 year old daughter. I called her over to the phone and told her to leave a message, then I pushed record. My daughter started giggling and said, "Hi this is the (insert surname) family. Our favorite animals are cat and zebra. Leave a message. Thanks and have a great day."
It is so cute. She has a cute little voice and she was giggling because I didn't give her any warning.
Anyways, my monster in law complains every time she calls or comes over. the last time she was here I told her to drop it. I told her she was hte only one who couldn't understand it so just leave it alone and stop complaining.
So earlier today my phone rings and the machine picked up and I hear in a really weird voice, - leave a message, leave a message, I don't know, what - So I went to replay the message to see if I could figure out what it was about and my phone rings again. So I wait for the machine to pick up (I screen all calls) and this time, in the same weird voice I hear - I don't know something about her cats name, her voice is too high, she should talk lower, you should have her speak lower - then in the background I hear my monster in laws voice saying - see and she told me I was the only one who couldn't understand it.
OH MY GOD. Is she really that crazy.
I mean get a fucking life and stop making your idiot friends call my house just to agree with you. I mean they are just as stupid and hard of hearing as you. It's my gaddamn phone and message and I don't give a shit if you can't understand because you are so stupid. If you don't like the message then stop fucking calling our house, you fucking crazy ass freak.
That is what I wanted to say to her. I mean come on, it really isn't that big of a deal and it's none of her business anyways and she has been complaining for months about this. So childish.
Man she just gets on my nerves. It makes me laugh now because it is so absurd but really, forget about it and move on you freak.

Wow, I never had to deal with a mother in law like that. I was lucky enough I got along with my inlaws. If you ever get the notion you could change it and really screw with her head. LOL -

mom - the truth is that I wanted to change it just because I like to do that every once in a while but now I don't want her thinking I changed it because of her, so it stays. I know, that is kind of childish on my part, but oh well.
I could change it and do it in Spanish and then she really wouldn't be able to understand it. Now that would be funny!

We did one one time, if you want to speak to______ press one.if you want to speak to______press 2. If you want to talk to anyone. spin in cirlces and press 3. If you didn't mean to call this number press 5.We did a whole bunch like that. Some people thought it was funny and some of them thought it was irritating. :)Another one that is funny also is to have your answering machine say, "Hello". Then have a pause for how much time you think the other person needs and have the answering machine say ,"hello?" again. My sons friends would do that with their cell phones and each time I would think someone answered it. -

Yes, my daughter is her grand daughter and most grandparents just think that things their grandkids do are cute, but not her. She is so picky and idiotic. I know I should probably feel sorry for her because she has so little in her life that she has to go on for months about such a trivial thing, but I don't. I mean I think if her life has so little it is her fault. She could always do something about it. -

Cagney: I've been married a year now and I get the same line from my husband ignore her i.e 'his mother'. She's always sarcastic, insensitive and rude everything out of her mouth is just nasty. I bite my tongue cause due to respect it's his mother, and I don't want to cause any friction amongst the family.
Lately, I decided to keep my distance, now I get from the other half i.e 'the Hubby' 'They're missing me.'
She's a very difficult lady and sometimes when I have it out with my husband that his mother is a two face b***h to me.
I think why am I stressing. "We are moving soon"
I can handle telephone conversations and I won't have to see her sour face for a very very long time.

Katana - Welcome to SoulCast. I don't bite my tongue anymore. My husband has told her that if she didn't watch herself she would lose another son, and that if he had to choose he would choose me. She drives him as nuts as me. I know that when she gets mad at us she doesn't call or come over for at least a month and that month is so nice. -
