  I think it's rigged for the winner to be the 'loser' and runner up gets the big $$$ deals. 
   
  There are two boys on there still, Sundance Head and Sanjaya Malaker and I can't, for the life of me, figure out WHY they're still there.  Jared Cotter, he's a site for sore eyes.  Totally reminds me of that model, Tyrese...no idea how you spell it. 
   
  The girl, Antonella Barba...WHY?  She stinks in comparison to all the other girls.  Those other girls have some pipes!  In my opinion, best group of girls in the history of the show.

  I have to confess I watch it but it gets more and more frustrating each season.  You are right the judging is really frustrating.  I'm so sick of THEIR banter.  It's so unfair when a kid gets up there and sings their guts out and then Simon and Ryan battle out some argument they had from earlier in the day on stage in front of the world and right after this poor kid sang.  Geez.  Or they practically roast the kid when they are done and they don't stand a fighting chance after that.  Even if they are semi-decent.  The judge thing is pretty ignorent.  I think if they got some different people in there it could freshen up the show greatly!
  
  I really believe AI is just an avenue of exposure that works at first but after a while it's hard to shed the AI persona.  Apparently it's really hard to get past that first album that THEY decide is right for you even when you know it's not your thing.  Taylor Hicks first album is a good case in point.  That album is really lame.  He sings way better than that album shows.  But should he have been the winner?  Not so sure.  Loved his personality?  But it's a MUSIC show.  He was a great entertainer to watch....but the best singer?  Hmmmmmmm.
