So, last night I had my first date since my divorce. In one word: Yummy! But, as it turns out he is 12 years my junior! Yikes! So, should I care? My thought? Hell no! We met last weekend (if you read my "To Bar or Not to Bar" post he was the "hottest fucking guy" I mentioned. At the time I had NO idea he was 24 years old--he seemed and looked about 30ish to me, and at 36, I didn't think much of it. But, as I came to learn last night, he's only a baby. 24. Still in undergrad for God's sake!
But I've decided that what is good for the goose is good for the gander, so I'm going to see him again. Is it love? No. Is it lust. Hell yes. Does dating someone technically young enough to be my son a bad thing? I don't know. You tell me.

Hey there momsrock! First off, yes they do! Moms most definitely rock! I know mine kicks ass! Secondly, bless you for the laugh! "...Like stamina" had me cracking up laughing. I had to call my girlfriend and tell her what you wrote, then SHE cracked up laughing! Doing this 12 years younger man thing should be quite the sociological experiment...I'll keep everyone updated on how it goes.

The only young men that seem to hit on me are illegal. Well, I've dated seriously a man 15 years my junior and have a man who is 20 years younger than me saying he wants to marry me currently.It's flattering as all hell, and good for your self esteem especially when just divorced. I say have a great time! Just be careful. A younger man is in a different time of his life and a different level of maturity. My 15 year younger guy was a hot red-headed snow boarder who was 6'3"tall and very intelligent but over time the 2 different maturity levels we lived in took a toll.So, probably not going to be THE relationship. But for now after the divorce hell yeah! -

Minor update ladies! He called tonight! Yay! I mean, you never really know, after a first date, if the guy will call back for a second, but this child that I went out with last Thursday apparently wants to do it again! Woo Hoo! Unfortunately, I'm extremely busy this week, so that didn't work out, but maybe this upcoming weekend I'll have more updates on what it's like to be almost 37 and dating a freaking undergrad!!! I too hope I find true love. I did meet a wonderful man last night, so I've got my fingers crossed that it at least leads to one hell of a good 2nd date! One day at a time, but damn it would be nice to keep this one around for a little while. He seems amazing so far!!!
