Put half a glass of water on the table and ask your friends, "what do you see?"
Pay attention to the different responses that you get.
"The glass is half empty" "The glass is half full"
This is a very basic excercise to help determine who is positive and who is not.
Over the years i have surounded myself with all sorts of people and i found that some lift us up while others bring drag down.
I have decided that i will surround myself with positive people that will help me to be a better me; and I can recipricate the favour.
Living in South Africa I constantly have to be aware of the crime around me, I need to implement preventative measures to prevent my Wife and Children of becoming a victim of crime.
A few years ago I went overseas to see what the world is like on other continents and what i found is that Crime is everywhere, denying it will not make it go away.
All we can do is be aware of our suroundings and not act/look like a victim.
When we act positive we become positive.
This theory works very well in many aspects of our lives for e.g.if you are feeling ill then you tend to walk around with stooped shoulders and your head down, as you go through the day you start to feel worse. Now try the following excercise, next time you do not feel to well try acting like everything is ok. Walk around with your shoulders back, your chest out and chin up. Soon enough you will begin to feel better.
The way we act is affected by the way we feel and the way we feel is affected by the way we act. The two are interconnected.
This can be reinforced by practicing visualisation. What we imagine to be real, becomes real to us.
Try this out for yourself and let me know what you think.
