I stormed into the skyscraper office and threw a balance sheet onto Daphne’s massive oak desk.

“What is the meaning of this?” I demanded.

Daphne steepled her hands and raised an eyebrow, not bothering to look at the sheet. “I believe everything is in order here. Does something about my decision displease you?”

“You’ve slashed half my influence on the board of trustees! You’ve handed over control of the clothing companies to that blond idiot you picked up in a whorehouse!”

“Burlesque, dear. It was a burlesque. All quite legitimate.”

“Our business empire is doomed thanks to you! I leave on one elephant-hunting expedition and look what happens! Profits are gonna plunge! How will we apply for membership in the Illuminati now?”

“The Illuminati are a bunch of jerks anyway. I think we should apply to be Freemasons instead.”
