I woke up with a headache this morning.  It's one of those pounding behind the eyes combined with a vice around my temples kind of pains.  I would like to blame it on sinus problems, but this may be a migraine.  It's one of those headaches that I think only crawling back into bed will help.

Life can stand still for a bit.

The husband can have leftovers for lunch.  I'm going to shut the door on my stress for a bit and just see if sleep will come.  It probably won't, but I'm going to try.

Have you ever had a migraine or sinus headache?  What's your favorite remedy?

Awe, CW!  So sorry you're feeling the pain.  I don't know if I have ever experienced a migraine.  I've had bad headaches, but my Husband has them from time to time so bad that he vomits.  He has to go to bed, shut the shades, turn off all lights and the television.  Total darkness is what helps him.

I've had sinus headaches.  I get a lot of sinus infections.  I just hit the doctors office for antibiotics.

I hope you feel better soon!

cw, my son woke up this weekend with a head ach, then later a fever. He was sick
for 3 days. For a migrain, I used to take meds, but they were a combo af tylenol,
and massive caffein in huge doses at first, the tapered down to every 4 hours.
Now I just emulate that myself. For sinus head aches, I find sudafed and a hot rag, dose wonders. I hate to hear you are not well. Let me tell you a joke.....
a freind waiting on another freind in the dr.s office. freind comes out from a consultation from the dr. with a worried look on his face. Freind asks, is everything ok? freind says, no, it seems all those years of phone sex has finally taken its toll....
    I have hearing aids!
I hope you feel better soon

From my rather uneducated vantage point, it sounds like a migraine, CW. A good friend of mine gets them, and when they hit, the only thing she can do is go to bed in a silent dark room and go to sleep.

My favorite remedy for a headache is sex - but I have never been able to get my doctor to write a prescription for me. Not sure where I'd get it filled, of course, but I keep trying. Just like I tried to get my orthopedic specialist to prescribe a daily round of golf for rehabilitation when I broke my shoulder. It's amazing how impractical the medical profession can be.

    daily,
I took a nap.  The pain is a little better.  Lot's of pressure in my head though.  I should rest more but I had laying around.

    gran,
I'm drinking some Diet Mt. Dew right now.  I had the same thought that some caffeine might help.

    Mimi,
Silence was hard to come by when I laid down.  The tractor, the dogs, the cows, and the goose all were in the background.  Who said the country was serene?

    lionel,
I like the way you think!

Hi CW, Never had a migraine but with normal headaches I do try and lock myself in a dark, quiet room for a while, kinda hard though with kids in the house.

    Hope you're feeling better.

    ed,
I will have to check out her blog for that info.

    Comfort,
It seems that once the sun set, my head started feeling better.  It might have something to do with sensitivity to light.  I'm thankful it quit pounding. :-)

Hi, Sorry to hear about the noggin! I have had some really bad ones, but having epilepsy has something to do with it, and my anticonvulsants help to eaze it. My wife used to get them so bad she was physically sick....vomiting. She would go to bed and shut the curtains and stay in the dark usually all day. She takes Migralieve, which is in tablet form and comes in two colours. I forget which colour is taken first, but you have to take them in order. You can buy them over the counter here in the UK. Also there's a tablet called Co-codamol, which has 8mg Codeine, and 500mg of Paracetomol in them. They are what I take for back ache, but if we are out of Migralieve, she will take those. The Codeine makes you sleepy though and obviously you can't drive once taken. You can buy Co-codamol over the counter here as well. It's funny but she used to get them very regularly. Then after a hysterectomy they subsided, and now she only gets them when really stressed.

There have, repetitively, been people and voices freaking me out. Now my landlord said something about looking over in their direction. It's bad enough that she said something about Ed a while back. I want this to stop. It's like this shit won't let...
Man do I hate living. Being unborn sounds so appleasing to me everytime I wake up each morning. Of course, I won't be some lifeless looser and take away my life, but that thought sure sounds heavenly. I live a life of turmoil and pain. None of which...
questioning people and how selfish they are when it comes to break ups, involving kids...
