More from the NBA All-Star game:
As I was watching the NBA All-Star game last night from a non-NBA city (still not over that one), commericals kept telling me that "Southwest Airlines is the official airline of the NBA."
Wow. Impressive, huh? Not really. Southwest does NOT fly into/out of Atlanta, home of the NBA's Hawks; Charlotte, home of the NBA's Bobcats, and Minneapolis, home of the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves (or T-Wolves if you're dope).
So, for those of you who are slow, the official airline of te NBA does not fly to every NBA city.
Does the NBA care? Nope. Southwest said, "Here's some money. Can we be your official airline?" The NBA answered (as they were counting the millions) "Sure!"
So, in the spirit of the NBA, I'm going send a request to Pepsi (i drink Coca-Cola), Honda (I drive a Toyota) and Sirius Satelite Radio (I listen to XM), to see if they need a spokesperson.
Hey, if it's good enough for the NBA, it should be good enough to me.
