Do you have a favorite tea?

I know this is dreadfully boring, but my favorite tea is instant Nestea made into iced tea sweetened with stevia.

If I'm going to have hot tea, I like blueberry tea.

Are you a tea drinker?  What's your preference?

    i'm a tea drinker!

i like a cup of black tea (lipton's) with just a little sugar in it..

i drink green teas as well.

sometimes at night i will opt for an herbal tea like lemon zinger or chamomile....

this winter i've given up coffee and gone only with tea.

It's funny you mentioned coffee.  I seem to be drinking more of it over the winter than I usually do. I hardly drank any before.

I also like green tea.  I've recently tried some of the instant for iced tea.  It's not bad.  I'm not big on brewed iced tea.

i'm a massive fan of lady grey tea, which is a lighter version of earl grey but has a nice citrus note.

    ed,
I like the fruit flavored teas the best, except for peach which I find to be ghastly.

usually I drink coffee, but I love a good chai, green tea or Mate - with honey

Chai is my favourite and I get it imported in for me.

Next would be Crysanthimum (spelling sorry) this is great for when I've been dehydrated.

Next is good old black tea, and after that I'm an earl grey.

    My mood will dictate

I love chai tea best but mint is a close second and comes in handy when I feel 'wheezy' because of asthma. I have tried so many teas but the only one I really don't care for is lemon or licorice root teas- yuck.

Good day!  I enjoy tea, too.  Both iced tea and hot tea.

Iced tea - Tradewinds Diet Tea.  It's simply excellent!

Hot tea - a like a variety depending on what the weather is like and what I may fancy at the time.  Here are some standbys:  Chamomile by Stash; Vanilla Hazelnut by Bigelow; and French Vanilla by Bigelow.

I'll have to try Lady Grey. I don't like Earl Grey at all. I think it must be the bergamot. I drink herbal teas and green tea with a little sugar.
I like hot tea with either sugar or honey, but I take iced tea with no sweetener.

I had a kind of tea in a restaurant once that I really liked. I wish I had paid more attention to the name of it. It was lighter in color that say, Earl Grey, and had a milder taste. Any recommendations for a milder tasting tea (not herbal)?
  • silverwhisper said on Feb 20, 2007....
do you recall any particular flavors, mimi?

    ed
  • MissMimi said on Feb 20, 2007....
All I remember about it, is that it was lighter in color than most teas I've had. I don't like my tea very strong, and this was milder. Wish I could be more specific. It wasn't an herbal tea, I know that.

Darjeeling is fine ed, just not that icky, overly perfumed stuff that you like.    :P

mimi: sorry, w/out knowing else it might have resembled, it would be impossible to say.

alyss: keep your nasty breakfast teas. :p :D

ed, I like teas that have the capability of taking the hairs off of one's chest should that be necessary. <g>

Genmaicha, when I can get it.  Or oolong.

Or blackberry, if I feel indulgent.

I am SO a tea drinker. I've never heard of blueberry. Interesting. I love chamomille tea. Or tea with ginger. Most of the time I drink regular ole black tea with lemon and honey. Fixes anything. I could be straight of England the way I drink tea. Love it !!!!!

I took up tea drinking when I was doing home healthcare for an elderly couple. The Mrs liked to drink tea and eat gingersnap cookies in the afternoon. I still can't eat a cookie without wondering what kind of tea it would taste good with.
