  The titles make me click on,  like yours just did.  Other than that, it's the tag (someone you want to read)  I have missed some great posts because the title didn't interest me when I was crunched for time.  Later, I find out it had 200 # hits and loads of comments.  Makes you feel like you missed the bus and you have no lunch money.......

  It's often as much the writer as it is the tag or title line.
   
  Some are constructed very well and don't draw much attention
  and yet others are BLAH and it takes off. I have no idea why
  but it's hit or miss. Some people just have some GREAT blogs.
   
  You'll find which ones you enjoy and even when the title sucks the
  read is a good one. Some will just piss your time away with moaning
  and groaning but some are real and have legit problems. Some make
  me damned glad I am who I am..LOLOL..
   
  I don't mean to be cavalier about it..it's just that problems win here
  probably 4 to 1.
   
  Why I have a knot in my shorts...now that may or may not grab you..but
  I'd not spend a second on it unless it was RollingC, or Pikcersplock,
  MissMimi, Purr, or even Lucy..unless she really does have a knot
  in her shorts..LOL..have fun..

  I screwed up again--didn't mean, "the tag"  I meant the writer.  By the way, don't have any favorites, but have ones I want or need to hear back from.  That's a lie, also.  I do have favorites I guess!  Wombat is wishy-washy tonight.  But I almost always have to see what Cops is up to, even when I tell myself I really shoudn't.....
   
  (just being a joker again) Hope he knows I'm kidding if he sees this.   And hope Lucy sees this and gives him a sound knock on the head for that.  Like the song, "Isn't She Lovely..." ?

  Hope you slept well.  I wasn't feeling left out.  Not drop dead gorgeous, but not bad for my age.  My legs start at the bottom and go all the way up--just not as far as I would like.  Only 5'5 and 298 lbs.....Ha!  Just kidding! Scared ya' there, didn't I?  (Weebles wobble but they don't fall down..)  More like slightly less than a barrel of fun, but more than a loaf of bread.

  i read an awful log of blog entries, and the reasons are almost as diverse as the people who post 'em.
  
  in some cases, folks use this just to journal (e.g., nytquil); for others, it's a place to share what they're going through (like creativewoman, or alyss & ET); still others find things of interest and want to share them (bloc or bronx). and there are so many more.
  
  in all of them however, i recognize something human to which i respond: the blogger.
  
  so for me, what makes a good blog is that someone is being honest about who and what they are.

  I read a good amount of blog entries as well. and what i read ranges from blogs on politics to blogs of more personal nature. 
  
  people use this space for a variety of reasons, as silver noted.
  
  for me, what draws me back to anyone's blog, regardless of the topic, is something really intangible; it's the seeing the blogger in the post.
  
  really, i think silver, said it best here; it's something human i/we respond to--the blogger.  and what makes a good blog for me is seeing that humanity come through; it's someone being honest with themselves and letting us see that little glimpse of honesty.

  Never thought of this place as a journal or diary but I guess it sort of is. The hubby is beginning to hate the computer but I find this place relaxing and excepting,especially since I always feel like I want to just get away. I feel like i'm very stressed right now and my hubby is not getting it. I 'm very close to cracking and he's oblivious. What this has to do with what makes a good blog? I'm pouring out my soul to you. The human side of me and others is being explored and exposed and thats what makes a good blog to me. To see others good and bad.
   
  And with that I'm cooking dinner at 10pm for the kids. Be back soon......

  I am still at a loss on that issue. When someone insults ME, then I have
  an issure. When they insult my "freinds" I'll have a conversation but
  certainly not hate some one for having an opinion.
   
  Ths whole issue make no sense to me what so ever. You treat this as
  if it were a Real Life situation.
   
  I'm sorry but this makes no sense to me at all.
   
  When I say something..it is viewed as "horrible" but the same thing
