So...Spielberg/Tarantino/Stone or other turns up at your door offering you a googolplex of pounds/dollars/other to make a movie of your life which undoubtedly will be hailed as the greatest ever movie, winning plaudits from critics and public alike. And the one condition is you have to choose the actor/actress to play you. Who do you choose? Be it for likeness or ability to act or anything else.

Oh and feel free to put forward suggestions for the other major roles.

For me. I've been told (as has been mentioned in various places) I look like Orlando Bloom, Viggo Mortensen (as Aragorn), Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger (in 10 things I hate about you), Brandon Lee (in the Crow) and some others I've forgotten. But of those I'd pick Johnny Depp as he is IMNSHO by far th best actor.

i think meg ryan.  i like the way she laughs.  Or sharon stone......because she's 'edgy'...
  • beyondtheveil said on Feb 13, 2007....
This is assuming, of course, that I had a life anyone would look at.

I think Johnny Depp is the best thing to come along in his generation, along with James Spader.

I'd want Sandra Bullock as my wife.
  • silverwhisper said on Feb 13, 2007....
personally, i would like a young andy garcia circa the untouchables. i think he has the right intensity.

Diane Keaton. She has the right combination of smartass, goofy and sweet. Of course, she'd have to dye her hair and gain about a bazillion pounds...
  • mousenphonic said on Feb 13, 2007....
Eliza Dushku (The New Guy and Bring it On) she has my attitude and some of my looks (brown eyes, brown hair, tanned skin) plus my hubby drools over her  ;)

secret...just another way we connect....meg ryan would play me as well....my co star would have to be...George clooney...I know that comes as a surprise to many ...or Kevin Costner... for some reason i find him incredibly sexy....
  • PAPERBACKWRITER said on Feb 13, 2007....
Hmmm,  Winona Ryder to your Johnny Depp! wwwooooooooo ; D

Or Angelina Jolie. . .this is not coincidental both played in the movie Girl Interuppted. .

    warmest regards,

    j~

I would have to say Rachel Bilson from The OC because we both have dark hair and dark eyes, and is also the same built as me.

I like her comedic timing, and likes her bitchy attitude as Summer on The OC but is nice one people warm up to her.

Another actress that I would like to play me is Lindsay Lohan (pre-partying version of her anyways.)

    Cheers.

  • husbandhater said on Feb 13, 2007....
Halle Berry would be a perfect me. The short haired version.
  • ALIENated said on Feb 13, 2007....
Either Eddy Murphy or Jackie Chan. No wait, John Cleese. Or maybe Tom Cruise.
Better yet, Mel Gibson. Aah, I have taken on so many different looks over the
last 400 years, it is just hard to say. I have alternated between Elvis and
Rock Hudson lately. Since they are both gone, no one suspects. I do get a
lot of stares from older people who remember them.

  • copsunited said on Feb 13, 2007....
oh that's easy..Jennifer Love Hewitt. Even though I am male.

At least I'd get to be next to her and have her interview me to get
a "feel" for who I am etc etc..I don't give a shit how is comes down
or how it looks..it's just that I get to meet her..oh ..meat her would be
so much the better... Here kitty kitty..here lovie lovie..oh my
  • quidnunc said on Feb 13, 2007....
andy garcia should, because we look alike.
  • kenpark said on Feb 13, 2007....
THUMBS UP TO BEYONDTHEVEIL for choosing James Spader...  I'd take him or Jeff Goldblum.

But um, Orlando Blum(sp)?  Brandon Lee??  Viggo Mortenson???  Johnny Depp???????????

    Narcissists much?
  • waterstar said on Feb 13, 2007....
I think I would request Drew Berrimore.  I think she could pull off my general goofiness.
  • CreativeWoman said on Feb 14, 2007....
I would choose the comedian Kathleen Madigan to play me.  We look nothing alike, but I think my sense of humor is similar to hers.

Cate Blanchet! absolutely or that cute french Amilie actress - Ginger help me here?(Dunder head forgot her name??)

she actually looks like me.... But I'd prefer Cate Blanchet she is amazing!!!!!!!

  • Dicconzane said on Feb 14, 2007....
Ken: Not really. They're just people I've been told I look like at various points in my life. I picked Depp mainly because I think he's a fantstic actor and shares a lot of my traits naturally, and there's an edge to him. Told a friend and she agreed instantly, saying he was perfect because he was, 'pensive, caring, funny and dark.'

Paper: Good to see you back again. Was starting to think I'd need an anti-restraining order. My shadow was lonely without a stalker to talk to.

Cops: I hate to top your suggestion but I suspect you might enjoy it more if you decided to play yourself and had her play someone in your life you've enjoyed... relations with?

Nice to see people have mostly gone for more than just someone who looks like them though. Looks like people might have some depth here... shhhh I won't tell anyone though so don't worry, there won't be any pressure to keep it up. But it's interesting to read the why's and qualites that people are looking for someone else to portray.
  • momsrock said on Feb 14, 2007....
I would also want Meg Ryan... in her "You've Got Mail" hair stage. I'm not sure who would play my husband though.
  • mousenphonic said on Feb 14, 2007....
My husband.........hmmmm.....Can anyone remember Bud Spencer.....? Minus a few pounds, a few years off his age, shave off the beard, no attitude adjustments necersary.  They both remind me of this big fluffy teddy bear I had as a child, so cute....;)
  • silverwhisper said on Feb 14, 2007....
hey mouse, did you ever watch buffy the vampire slayer? eliza dushku got her start in that show, IIRC.

lucy: were you referring to audrey taotou?

    ed
  • mousenphonic said on Feb 14, 2007....
silver: yes, I'm big buffy fan, still like to watch reruns and the dvd's!!!
  • kruuyai said on Feb 15, 2007....

Diccon: How can you look like Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp?  They don't look anything alike.  But if you're having a Johnny Depp kind of a day, can I come over to your place tonight?  :)

People have told me that I look like Juice Newton, Judy Collins, Suzanne Sommers and Martina Navratilova... but personality-wise.... I guess I'd have to be played by someone like Lisa Kudrow.

  • Dicconzane said on Feb 15, 2007....
kruu: No idea. Heath Ledger looks nothing like either again. I didn't come up wit them. Though I do change hair length, whether I keep it straigh or let it go curly and goatee beard/stubble/shaven/sideburns every so often so who knows. Mostly I think it's just a cheekbone thing.
  • copsunited said on Feb 15, 2007....
In all reality it would have to be George Peppard.

I know ..that sounds um..fanciful but I have been likened to
Mr. Peppard, Billy Bob Thorton and Charles Bronson.

Personally..Mr. Ed would do just fine..without the bridle though..I hate
    those things..
  • boyzmom said on Feb 15, 2007....
I have been told that I look like Helen Hunt, and I like her so I would pick her. She's not spectacular but neither am I.
  • copsunited said on Feb 15, 2007....
Boyzmom..WRONG..Helen Hunt is HOT. I think she shines well above
the bag of trash that haunts the screens now...except
Jennifer love Hewitt..yum....oh well..I love her to death.

the one with jack Nicholson.."as good as it gets"..well what's left to be
    said..except wow..and if look like her..girl I'd do ya on the run..LOLOL
  • Lucytorial said on Feb 15, 2007....
Silver - yes yes yes, Audrey Taotou, thank you memory master!
If my husband was requiring a start to play him it would be David Niven - stand alone he looks, acts and sounds like that man anyway so Audrey Taotou for me and David Niven for him!
  • kenpark said on Feb 17, 2007....
I would choose Helen Hunt as well, only... I am actually pretty fucking spectacular...

and not a woman, so... really...  Yeah, I guess Orlando Blume is the next closest.
  • Eclipsa said on Feb 18, 2007....
Dicconzane:  Do you really look like these men?  I do see a possibility of you looking like Orlando and Johnny, I think they are somewhat similar looking.  Dang, you must be hot!  If you are telling the truth anyway.  I really dont know who I would pick, I have been told I look like Jodie Foster but shes much older than I am, but I will say her anyway.
  • 22DecemberFallen said on Feb 18, 2007....
Bruce Willis. Ok I'm not a dead ringer but I'm a similar build but maybe a little bit bigger and hey I'm bald & like white vests :-) Decided years back if a shaven is good enough for Bruce its good enough for me. Never quite got me a Demi Moore though. *sulk*
