Who's reading ConfuciusSays (4):

Many people believe that Hillary Clinton "deserves" to win the Presidential Election in 2008 because of her experience and history. Question: "What experience and history?"

She sat in the White House for 8 years and accused every non-liberal of a conspiracy. She's sat in the U.S. Senate for a couple of terms: that's only one more term than one of her biggest opponents, Barack Obama. In those two terms, she voted in support of the War in Iraq and, with the help of her husband, has become almost completely absorbed by the corruption in the government. Her other experience includes being very abrasive, openly attacking other elected officials, and being an extreme liberal that is ready to start a war with the Republican Party.

This is not what we need in the White House right now. We have enough problems in the U.S. Government and world relations without having an abrasive President who is ready to destroy the opposing party in politics. What we need right now is someone who is going to unify the two sides of Congress so we can move forward through the 21st century and begin to fix our problems at home and worldwide. What we need is a President who understands what is going on, not just within his own state and nation, but understands problems that are occurring across the world.

i agree. i think hillary is way too polarizing and if she gets the party nod, it will drive voters into the republicans' hands.

I really don't think Hillary can lose.  Its sad but I realy truly believe that she will be our president in 08.  For no good solid reason.  I think its like Bush winning.  People are stupid and name brands win.

what if she's up against giuliani?

Maybe.  He's got the name recognition.  He's got the skill.  He's got to overcome being part of the same party as Bush.  I think at this point Barrack is a sure loser if he somehow get past Hillary.  Like I said before though I'm not debating her worth, I'm saying that there is a large voting population of Sheeple in this nation.  I believe to this day that Bush won in 2000 because his name was Bush, in 2004 I honestly don't know what happened.

I've been talking with a lot of people across the board from the lower middle class to the upper class, from black people to white, from barely eighteens to senior citizens, and I've actually been shocked.  So many people are going to vote in Barack's favor if he wins the Democratic nomination.  People in this country are so afraid of having another Republican in office that they will vote for Obama.
  • SeanRenaud said on Feb 13, 2007....
Wow, its impossible that people could be voting for Obama rather tha against the Republican party.
  • ConfuciusSays said on Feb 13, 2007....
I'm not sure what you meant by that last comment.

I realize that it's quite possible that people will be voting for Barack Obama because they like him and his potential as the next President.  However, it is more likely that people will be voting out of fear of another Republican in office.

CONFUCIUSSAYS, I WITH YOU ON THIS. SHE HAS NOTHING. SHE JUST BETTER STAY IN THE SEAT SHE'S HAS. BECAUSE SHE CAN'T FILL THE BIG SEAT.  STEELMAN.

I'd vote for her, but only by default.  I've become a I-never-vote-for-I-vote-against kind of person. I don't really get it either.  I always got the feeling that she was popular in New York but that the rest of the country didn't like her all that much.
  • silverwhisper said on Feb 17, 2007....
kelly, i think many rank & file republicans hate her almost as much as they hate her husband.

Oh, I'm sure they do.  Republicans talk of irrational hatred of GW(MD)B, but it seems like nothing compared to the Republicans witch hunts of the 90s.

it is nothing. they just like to play the underdog.

There is only one candidate who truly loves America and he is Tom Tancredo of Colorado. Please check him out!!!!!

You are right, Hillary will divide the nation even furthur. She cannot solve our nations problems. We NEED unity, not someone like Hillary (smug, unapologetic, witchy)
  • SeanRenaud said on Feb 26, 2007....
Well too bad she's what we've got.  Barrack lacks the experience and John McCain is a joke.  Its up to Rudy and I just don't feel him a the moment.

You are right SeanRenaud. I am inclined, however, to give the candidates more time to prove themselves. I know I sound anti-Hillary, and that's because I am. I feel that I need more info on ALL the candidates. So I really just need to do some research. If you know of any good sites or anything, it'd be appreciated. If anybody can recommend where to go for info on any of the candidates, that'd be great.
