Does anyone believe that the bible code is real? They say it is a inserted code in the bible that can tell about major events in our time. All the documenturies I've seen points toward supernatural intervention when the book was written. They believe its real due to the fact that when the bible was translated from hebrew to english the codes still remain. They claim they found codes including...Kennedy..Martin Luther King Jr......and the 9/11 tragedy of the twin towers, and much more. But the sad reality of the situation is that they can only find the codes after something tragic has happen.I'm not surewhat to make of the whole thing, but if it is real then I don't think we know how to use it.So I ask you is it supernatural intervention as a means of prophecy or hype?

It's a desperate grab to turn a holy manuscript into a sensation seeking artifact. That's what I think.  I've also read and heard alot about the bible codes and you are right: we don't know how to use it (if in fact there is anything to use) and maybe it's because we aren't realy ready to understand how it works.  Do we realy think the world would change if we knew what would happen the next hundred years like a daily planner?  Ironic, though that you won't hear about Koran codes and other holy divinational manuscripts..... Not to drag down Christianity, but couldn't this be an attempt to blow more questions into a religion with all ready so much unanswered questions?

Greetings, before I wrote this comment , I was not aware that you are involved in the occult, I would assume that you would more than likely totally reject my comments. You goal or reason for your post  I would now think was  to cast as much doubt on the Bible as you could. If I am wrong Iam  sorry. I assumed that you were indeed looking for more insight until I read your bio. I should have  noticed your  Dragontears name. Any way I going to send it. You may see something in it you did not expect.

I will be praying for, Clyde

They are in fact present in the text that has been well proven by many researchers.  The question then becomes, why has God encoded phrases and sentences mathematically in his Holy word.  What are they therefore, because they are therefore there.

I have studied this for myself and the things that are encoded in the Holy Word are amazing, however, do we not serve an amazing God.  Would it be too hard for us to believe, in the light and evidence of their existence, and of the ability and awesomeness of the God whom wrote the Bible, that he would not or could not have put his signature on his authentic Bible by this mathematical means?

Showing to the world and the Church that a certain Biblical text is in fact his un-altered holy word, separating it from the perverted altered bible manuscripts and English perverted bible versions that God would have known Satan would be trying to put into the hands of his Church.

If one, will just look at the way the modern church in the last ten years or so has almost completely abandoned the King James AV 1611-1769 Holy Bible in favor of the New Modern Bible versions translations and the timing of this discovery of Bible codes coming to the Church world.  Could you not logically relate these two happenings?

The Codes have been maligned and discredited by many. I would not be at all be surprised if the criticism was not initially started with those that are trying to promote their perverted Bible Version If they can cast enough doubt on this signature of God, they have protected their interest in their particular modern Bible Perversion.

The Coded phrases cannot be used to predict the future. The messages are encoded in such a way by God, which for the most part you can only find them after an event has happened. In other words, you would not know what to look for or how to look for a happening, it could be in a sentence structure, it could also be in close related phrases.  The phrase could go horizontal in the text, it could go perpendicular or even sideways, and the parameters are jus to confusing for using it for a future prediction.

This not to say that some have not found things by accident that came to pass, but you could not know for sure if what you found meant what you thought it meant until after the fact.

fromadistance:  I'm not sure how dragon feels about your comment but I find it interesting to hear about this from a Christian point of view.  Thank you.  I'm also involved in the occult and it amazes me that within my immediate society of friends who are Christians, little of them know about the Bible Codes.  Therefor cutting out any real life debate over this question.

I would truely love to read more on your views of this, if its okay with dragontears?

Dragon- Well, Blessed Be yourself. We are legion. I studied comparative religion in college, and found it  about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. It seem as though when someone questions another about their religious preferences it evolves quickly into an irrational diatribe about why I'm right and you're wrong. Any useful dialog gets buried. I'm not so sure we can benefit a lot from prophecy. We can strive to build a better world by being better humans. I try to avoid any affiliation with those who claim to be God fearing, rather I would mingle with those who love God and humanity. I am a humanist. My basic belief structure comes from an African polytheistic lifestyle called Ifa. The basic premise of their life/religion is , "develop good character." Follow that guide and life flows. Sorry, guess I kinda went off there. Good blog, keep it up.

Hello Dragon. I've heard and watched a documentary on this also. I also believe it was debunked. They took another large volume of shakespere I believe it was, and actually found similar codes in that book also. It's claimed you can do this with books containing a large volume of words. By the shear volume of words you can find codes relateing to the bible.
