So, I have been teaching first grade for two weeks now, and I have managed to stay unsick....until now.  I have surgery on Thursday and my throat is all scratchy and my nose is doing the whole post nasal drip thing.  I hope they will still perform the surgery, because honestly, this is the only time I have available to do this.  It wont interrupt my student teaching too much, because the kids are on vacation.  Also, I'll still have health insurance.  Thats kind of key I think.

I am just thankful that I havent caught the stupid stomach flu thing thats going around.  I've been taking that Airborne stuff.  Although, now that I think about it, I think im going to have to stop, because it might have vitamin E in it, or iron, which I am not allowed to take a week before surgery, and I've already screwed that up once.  Oops.  Oh well.  I dont think I am going to bleed out.

In other news, I keep waiting for my students to say stupid, silly, or really cute/sweet things, but there havent been many.  So far: (keep in mind these are first graders)

One male student came up to another male student and said "hey momma!"
Another said....wow, miss * is such a special teacher (first aww moment of the semester)

I think there was also a remark about the sponge bob square pants song being the best song ever. Lol. I hate sponge bob.  When you wake up every morning in a dorm room for a year looking at your roomates spongebob posters....yeah...that'll do it. Who goes to college with pooh bear and sponge bob posters?  Sorority chicks...apparently.

I digress...

As for my class, some of these kids are great, and others...honestly, i just want to drop kick.  Dont interrupt my lesson to tell me I forgot to dot my I's!!!!  Or that I didnt pause at a comma long enough, or that I squished my words together when i wrote them on the board.  God damn!  Show some respect! Im taller than you, and my wrath is mightier, so dont cross it! Hehehe...just kidding.  Its a good thing I have super patience.

Anyways, I guess I am going to turn in early, and hopefully kick this stupid....whatever it is...cold....

I never thought I would be looking forward to surgery, but...here I am.  Lets just hope it happens eh?

If you want to stay un-sick, you try a organically grown dietary supplement. Manapol which is made by Carrington Labs is a natural immune enhancing supplement that helps fight illnesses from children in the class room environment. This is my sister L first year of teaching, and she got real sick. Once she boosted her immune system with Manapol, she did not get sick again.

My son is in first grade and this morning he told his little brother that he is pretty. He was only four when he asked the neighbor girl to be his girlfriend so I wonder what goes on at school. He likes his teachers and is one of the cutie pies that teachers say they love to have in class (I wonder if they tell everyone that). I chaperoned a field trip and the teacher was handing out the names of the kids the parents were responsible for and told the first couple of parents "you have a pretty mellow group.." then got to me and said "you have four boys." Scared me to death!

    Anyhow, hope you stay healthy!

Title might not be medically accurate, but its the jyst. Emilia ended up with a few complications after the c-section. Hemotomin, Hemotosis, Hemoglobin? Something like that. It all has to do with a blood ball under her sutures from the incision......
