I have noticed that in the past few months, I don't hear as well out of my right ear as I do the left. This is mostly evident when I'm trying to talk on my cell phone. It makes me feel old.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I like my music loud. :-D I always have. I've always said that if it's too loud, you're too old. Now I have to turn it up so I can hear it better instead of just for enjoyment.
Don't get me wrong, I can still make it out if you talk bad about me. :-) It's just enough of a hearing loss that I can notice it myself. I do have one friend that tells me to put my phone up to my good ear and that if I'm not careful I'm going to get a hearing aid for Christmas instead of a hammer or a flashlight.
I already had to get bifocals because I couldn't read lipstick tubes anymore. Now it's the ears. The old body is starting to revolt a bit.
Do you notice any hearing changes as you get older? Are you saying, "Pardon me" with more regularity?
