You read it here first folks, drum corps is stupid.  I'll never understand why people can be so immature towards each other in an activity that has absolutely no bearing on real life what so ever.  Especially in the "Sr Circuit."  The Jr's are much more responsible and mature then those of us who are performing in the Sr circuit.  You would think that we are older and wiser but that is just not the case.  It's stupid really.  Nothing but political BS and corps bashing goes on anymore.  All for a little medal that you could buy at the dollar store for $2.99 that you could win at the end of the year.  For those of you that seek one of those, it is you that ruins it for people like me.  I am there for two purposes, to enjoy the hell out of performing for anyone who will watch me, and to enjoy the hell out of myself at the party afterward.  I am there for the music and the party and that's it.

 

So to all of you people who talk shit behind everyone's back and are going to dedicate the next 7 months of your life towards winning that $2.99 "world championship" medal best of luck.  When the season is over and you still fall short of your goal, you will have worked so hard for nothing.

 

As for me I'll practice a lot, and make some more great friends along the way.  See you at the party...
