omg, i'm getting soooo nervous about the germany/italy match!!! wonder who it's going to be? i definitely think it'll be a great game, so much talent on both teams... so i'm watching at my boyfriends' 4th of july party, and his whole italian family (somewhere between 20 and 30 peeps) will be in tow, which leaves me as the only deutschland supporter :) s'all good... i think they've set up a chair for me in the corner, lol!! GOOD LUCK to both teams!

yes, both teams played a very good game. i was convinced they were going to go into penalty kicks, in which case--germany would've won. i think that's what gave italy that final burst of energy at the end. but 2 GOALS??? dayum. poor lehmann. :(

I wouldn't be too sure on Germany winning if it came down to penalties. Buffon is an amazing goalie. I swear I've seen some Matrix moves from that guy!! Yes, Germany has always won games in penalties, where Italy is 0 for 3, but like I said, legacies were made to be broken. Look at what happened to Brazil!! (Incidentally, the fans booed their plane when it landed and set on fire the statue of Ronaldinho...they should support their team regardless.) I'm so nervous for Sunday!! I'm hoping for an Italian victory...it's been way too long overdue!! If Italia is playing their A game, I truly believe they are unbeatable. The defense alone is top notch, with Cannavaro blocking before the opponent can even get to the best goalie in the world, Buffon. So glad that Portugal lost. They have incredible footwork and speed, but they began to get ragged at the end and that's when they began to foul to compensate. No wonder they had the most yellow cards of the tournament. Not cool! That is not how the sport of soccer is to played. Teams who play dirty aren't on the same level as hard working, fair playing teams. Although, don't think I haven't noticed Totti trying to draw the foul, too. What's wrong with him? As a striker, he is beautiful, (physically, too...HEY!!). I suppose his leg surgery has soured him a bit. It's sure to be an exciting game of elegant soccer! Forza Italia!! Fans world-wide are counting on you to pull through!! The Cup is within reach, so take it!!! And please, for our own health...do it in regulation time!! None of this nail biting, tear inducing, almost penalty kick shoot out ending crap!! Now I'm hyper; I need a drink!!
