Ok... What's the difference between soulcast or technorati? The founder is Soulcast said that he/she created soulcast with this premise: "There wasn’t a website out there whose premise was to form a community that focused on meaningful bonds and extraordinary experiences and just let people be real about themselves" (See: Soulcast 1st ever post entry: There's got to be more out there). That was dated 17 March 2006.

On the other hand, technorati states: "On the World Live Web, bloggers frequently link to and comment on other blogs, creating the type of immediate connection one would have in a conversation. Technorati tracks these links, and thus the relative relevance of blogs, photos, videos etc. We rapidly index tens of thousands of updates every hour, and so we monitor these live communities and the conversations they foster." (See: Technorati.com, about us page). Unfortunately, technnorati doesn't mention the date that they started.

If analyzed, it seems like both have the same function: to create a community of bloggers. Given, a crucial question remains: Can Soulcast compete with Technorati?

i've never heard of technorati until now. and frankly, as long as they're getting their clicks, i see no reason why the two can't coexist.

this is more intimate than technorati though. i'm only a little familiar with technorati and i think they're more of a database / rating service. am i correct? soulcast is more like chillin in someone's living room during a family get-together. there are people you really want to see and chat with, and then there's the uncle that no one wants to sit next to or talk to... lol

I have never heard of the other one... but I agree soulcast sounds much more intimate, more like a family....  maybe the size creates the beauty of it?  once something becomes huge with masses of people, then there is no longer closeness...  to big to find your way around or get to know people, I am like a blind duck in the sky at the minute at livejournal....  its way to big to become comfatable there.... it can never be a family type community because of the vasts amounts of people there, where as here.....  well I just like it here :-)
