The bullet that shot the illegal Mexican drug smuggler apprehended while crossing the border into the U.S. was not from the convicted, imprisoned border patrol agent's gun. After the drug smuggler was given amnesty in exchange for his testimony he went back to Mexico, and once again attempted to smuggle drugs into the U.S where he was apprehended. He is now suing this country for $5 million claiming civil rights violations against him. In the meantime, President Bush is considering amnesty for the agents which may take some time.

I did have a long and very interesting conversation with several
    of my former work mates.

It seems there is/was/supposedly more to the story that met the
eye of the press. Having said all that..no one..and I mean No One
    will comment beyond that.

Two Congressmen have asked for the complete report from
DHS (Homeland Security) and were flatly refused access.

they were told, no get this, "file through the freedom on information act"
Congress...congress....UNREAL !! Congress has oversight of all fed
activities and can't see the file. It scares the hell out of me as I said
some time ago... "every president since Wilson has wanted to have his
own federal police force"..Now..under the guise of "Homeland Security"
it is there. Lock stock and barrel.

We the people are no longer the designers of nor participants in the
government as it was supposed to be. It is a Republic and therefore
is exempted from direct intervention on the part of Citizens.

Cops, I should have said that President Bush is open to a pardon for the two border patrol agents (not amnesty). I got that info from grassfire.net. If you find out anything else, I'd appreciate if you'd post it. I know what you mean about Homeland Security, but what, if anything, can we do?

Instead of amnesty and all the border issues, why don't we wake up and make all citizens of Mexico US citizens. We could use the oil, and Mexico could finally get rid of all their corrupt goverment officials. (Just move the border)
