One of my favorite movies is Practical Magic, starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. Sandra's character casts a spell for the perfect man. She sends it out into the universe and hopes this way she will never fall in love because no such man could ever exist; of course in the movie he appears and turns her life upside down.

So, if we were creating a spell for the perfect man what qualities, physical or personality wise, would you mix in? Could such man really come to be or do you think Mr. Perfect is already in your life?

I thought about it silver, but I figured some guy out there would take it upon themseleves to try and create the perfect woman. ;)

I enjoyed that film too. As for the perfect man for me, that's very difficult to answer succinctly.

I've just responded to another of this kind of post, does anyone think that by labeling love in this way, trying to make things perfect before we even have them if we find them at all is a little disappointing.

Its true for a lot of people they find the loves of their lives quite unexpectadly without actually wanting to find anyone.

lucy: i think this was intended more as an intellectual exercise than anything else.

Isn't defining an individual as perfect limiting though?

Yes I can attest to that.

alyss: no, it isn't, so long as your intended meaning is "perfect...for you".

I'm thankful for all my SC friends. :-) So to pay tribute I will make the turkery, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. You can bring a side dish or dessert.

All are welcome.

What will you bring?
