  You didn't read that post a couple of days ago did you? He's probably some 65 yr old bald guy who sent in his grandsons picture to get a rise outta you. Some like to jerk others around just for the thrill of it! Keep stepping and move on. Learn a lesson and look for a real person.

  To me that was starting with a lie.

  It means that Tim is a fishy liar. No excuses whatsover for havign dragged this situation for ONE year living 15 minutes from you.... Like Shici said, he was a liar since the beginning.....drop him, dont talk with him anymore.

  I bet he is married with 8 kids or is 75 yrs old or is carrying on 20 other relationships like the one he has with you.

  Husbandhater and gingersoul, that is what I was thinking. The final straw was he had invited me to join his yahoo 360 friends list.  I checked out his page and 1) He did not even have a picture up, and 2) all of his other "friends" were women, some of them looking a bit like hookers. That is the main reason why I asked him to call me. I just think he like playing on the internet and had no intention of meeting anyone because he was either some old fart or he lied about being divorced.

  I think after about 10 messages or so if that person did not want to meet even at a coffee shop then I would have given him or her the boot.  Too many players on the net.  You need to find the genuine ones.  I hate the guys who say they are separated...most are on the fence looking to see if there is anything better out there.  Curt sounds more solid and friends with benefits do not hurt. 
  
  Here is a tip, if you have been chatting with some guy on the Internet in a dating service.  Get a friend to sign up and contact this person and see if they say the same things.  It is a good tip for weeding out the players.
  
  Having a dating service, I spend half my day giving advice.  But Princess it sounds like you have made the right decision good for you!
