I'm becoming more aware of what I buy, lately. The furry slippers and cute tops that used to be at the beginning of my shopping list have all but disappeared, that is, if they're not made in America.  The problem is, many times labels are deceiving by simply stating "distributed in North Carolina or wherever".  So, yesterday during my trip to the mall, I decided to check out the tags. The only item I could find at what I looked at in Macy's that wasn't made in China, but the USA,  was panty hose which is what I purchased. I don't know how long I can do this, though. The last and worst car I ever bought was a Chevy that went through 4 or 5 head gaskets in less than 3 years.

I was reminded of, Ed, one store that sells only clothes made in the U.S.A. that's located in New Jersey. Of course, American Apparel in Hoboken. Strangely enough, when we looked it up on the internet, many of the employees had Hispanic names, fitting since they manufacture in California. But, I'm sure the workers are all legal Americans that were born here.
