Some days I think my brain must have fallen out of my head. Yesterday, when I was doing all that drywall sanding, why didn't I think to wear a mask? Um, let's see... A confined 4'x5' room with no ventilation but a silly little fan... Yah THINK?

So here I sit today, after a night of coughing and choking, feeling like there's five lbs of chalk in my throat and lungs, dust rolling around my sinuses, sneezing my head off. And it's my own fault for not using my brain! In my big hurry to get this done, I neglect the basics - such as, if you want to be able to breathe the next day after sanding, WEAR A MASK!

My mother would be proud. Imagine how much this would prove to her that I'm an idiot and need her guiding hand...

I know! Maybe I should phone her and tell her so she can sigh and tell me I'm a lost cause...

    Oh, Kitten, I sympathise!

We sanded a wooden floor once and that stuff gets in everywhere, even if you do wear a mask!

I know quite a lot of ladies (incl myself) who are so driven to get stuff done that we neglect to take care.  Its like we get a bee in our bonnets and just wont let up until its all finished.

Anyway, I hope you feel better soon.  Have you tried spraying your nose out with some salt water (not too salty)?

JD, I didn't think you could do wet sanding with drywall mudding. Doesn't it have to be ... um... dry?
