Reality says its unlikely we'll see the year 2107. What will be your legacy? Most people would say their children, but lets face it, it's unlikely that our children will still be alive. Our grandchildren...maybe, most likely our great grandchildren. Do you know the names of all of your great grandparents? I don't. So its safe to say that I will be dust in a forgotten grave somewhere. So what will be my legacy? Really, who cares. What matters most is the here and now. What matters is the kindness shown to the people around me. What matters is service for others. What matters is faith. This isn't going to turn into some religious rant, because I do believe there are many roads to "God" and each of us has a different path to follow. Sometimes I get so caught up in all the hustle and problems of the day, I forget that this will all pass. I need to see the beauty of this life. I need to see the importance of my service, whether or not it seems appreciated. I need to feel the love of my family and friends and express my love for them as clearly as I can. I don't need to be remembered in 100 years.
