Ukrainetrip reads (3):
We are in the process of getting ready to travel to Ukraine to adopt two older orphan girls. It is so much work to get ready to travel. I think pregnancy and labor and delivery are easier than adopting! We are excited and nervous, not sure what is in store for us. I am worried about the flight and the food. Dan says he is not worried about either of those things, he is worried about after the adoption when we come home with two girls who don't know us and can't speak English. It will be an experience!

If WE can do it you surely can!!!!!  Just don't drink the water and you'll be fine!!  And, most of all, through all the Ukrainian bureacratic BS, try to remember why you're there- not to be corny, but you are truly giving two people a chance at a decent life than in the God forsaken villages in Ukraine!!!  You'll see!!! You'll come home and call me and say, "OMG the place was SOOOO depressing!!"  Take care, and it'll be over soon...

I am so happy and excited for both of you. I remember adopting Scott like it was yesterday. He was a little over 2 the first time we met him and was wearing camoflage "GI Joe clothes", as he called them. These next few weeks will be so exciting and anxiety provoking. It will be a HUGE change for all of you. I will be following your every move. Remember, all of us back here in the States are rooting for you. Nancy

I admire you guys so much.  It is hard seeing how these children live,  I want to adopt all of them, but Ican't.  I admire those that can make it come true.  Tell me what you had to do, how long it took, and how much money it cost etc.  Good Luck

I look at my oldest son who is 5, and wonder what he is thinking about. Just a little sliver of info. would be nice. I wonder if I am doing a good job being a mother to him. Am I being too strict? Am I raising my voice too much? What does he really think...
