As I think I've probably mentioned before I am somewhat of a neat freak whereas my husband is more of the untidy, chaotic type which quite often causes us to butt heads.

One of the things that ticks me off is how he never makes the bed and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to hear that our bed remained unmade for the duration of my absence.

Another is how the dishwasher is stacked by him apparently totally randomly with no rhyme or reason or thought for size or space or efficiency so it is usually either over or under filled and given how he never rinses off the dishes they quite often come out dirty at the end of the cycle and I get to wash them all over again.

We have a shared main bathroom and one of the other things he does that I find very aggravating is the mess he leaves the bathroom in when he has used it or done the children’s bath with water everywhere and the bottles of shampoo left out willy-nilly and the towels just screwed up and tossed anyhow..

I could continue to list the petty annoyances but I won’t; there’s no point beyond illustrating my own anal retentiveness. What I will do is note that my soulmate not only makes the bed as soon as he gets out of it but he does so the same way that I do and that he folds the used towels and clears up after his self in the bathroom and unpacks his bags just like I do.

He tells me that he organises the dishwasher much like I do and sorts and folds the laundry as I do and other quirks too; a reflection of myself it seems which leaves me wondering where we would clash and over what?
