I was watching the Tonight Show with Jay Leno the other night. Kiefer Sutherland was a guest on the show and was relating an incident when he got robbed while taking his dog out for a walk. Kiefer asked Jay if he had ever been robbed himself, and Jay replied casually, “Yeah, about 3 or 4 times”.
I thought to myself, geez, here are two people having a casual chat, and as it turns out, both have experienced being robbed, one of them 3 to 4 times at that!
I mean, just how common is it for one to have been robbed?
I’ve not experienced it myself (touch wood). My better half had not either (touch more wood…).
So just how common an experience to the average person is it? Anyone care to share?

Just once, when a neighbor stole my brand new plush towels off the clothesline. I made about 4 trips over there asking about them. Finally the husband says, "Oh, my wife found them on the ground, so she brought them in to wash them. Dogs must have pulled them down off the line."And I'm thinking: Such clever dogs to have put all the pins back on the line afterward.The towels were freshly washed and folded. yup when iwas on an internet cafe. my bag was stolen while i was on the computer. but that's another blog!
