  I can't really tell Paper, there are some pictures of me that turns out the way I want it to be, and there are more that I wish weren't taken.

  I'm not at all in most lighting. I'm a natural blonde with pale skin and blue eyes, and almost every kind of lighting washes me out and gives me red eye. ick.

    Let me tell you a story. When my wife & I first got married she wanted to have our pictures taken by a pro.  When we got them back she looked at them, threw them in my lap & said "I look like a french whore & you look like a rapist."
    Well, she doesn't, & I hope I don't. The only pictures we've taken since are family snapshots. That may give you an idea of how photogenic I am.

  PBW, YOU ARE LOVELY! I often think people think they are unphotogenic, but others think they look lovely.  I am very critical of my own pictures and always feel I have to be caught at just the right angle to look right.

  I don't know anyone that actually likes photographs of themselves. Myself included. Allegedly I am but it's all subjective anyway. We all tend to see our own faults much more easily and harshly than anyone else.
   
  Plus there's that no one in my family likes having their photo taken. There are any number of a lamp or sofa myself or my brothers have just dived behind. One thing I do know of the few that do exist I always, always, always have red eye. Has led more than one person to suggest I'm hellspawn... well that and my sardonic sense of humour... and my constant battles with the seraphim and cherubim.

  I'm only photogenic if wearing make-up, in soft artificial light, the camera is taking black & white shots, and if the photo is taken from a slightly elevated condition. If all those things happen then I think I can make a half decent photo, but only then.

  Not at all.  If you snapped a hundred pics of me, maybe one would show me as looking halfway human.  I think it's mostly because I can't fake a smile, especially for as long as it takes most people to push the darned button!  :)

  I'm actually very photogenic most of the time.  (We all have bad pictures.)  In fact, a friend of mine who is a professional photographer calls on me regularly to work with him on some projects because he needs a "model".

  I am very good in taking pictures. I am the one always pacing around with a camera and most of the time they reflect the person i trap.

  I am told i am very photogenic, but as everybody else i rarely like the way i come out.... I think we always have a distorted image of ourself and when we actually see our fixed image its almost surprising......

  i still picture myself as a brunette ..so go figure.....LOL..

  Okay, for everyone out there, I've seen Paper's myspace page and I have to tell you that she is the cutest little thing and her girls are precious!  Paper, you are entirely too critical of yourself.
   
  I wouldn't exactly consider myself photogenic, but over the years, there have been some really great photos of me.  I love my bridal portraits and maternity photos (I had some professional belly photos taken).  As I've learned how to shoot better pictures, I've also learned how to better appear in photos, so I guess I keep getting prettier and prettier as I get older ;-)

  I'm with Ginger here...SHUT UP!  You're beautiful! 

  Some of you, but not many of you may know this...back in the "olden-days" I was a model.  Basically, a dummy!

  No matter what the scene was, I was always taught to be very critical of myself.  How could you get a better shot the next time...by being critical. 

  Photographers would look through the glass at the slides and say "uhh, no, neck's too long there", or "too short there".  Only until they would find 'the' one.  It was okay at the time, but now, man...it's caught up with me. 

  I HATE looking at pictures of myself.  I hardly wear make-up now.  My chin has been getting ONE zit every month that could wake up the sleeping moon!  I am constantly judging every picture and not saying "Oh I remember that, we had fun!"  I should be looking at them that way.

  I don't like having my picture taken without make-up.  I can't apply the five pounds of it that the make-up artist would. I'm the farthest thing from any kind of artist, that I only picked up a few tricks.  I never looked like 'me' after the make-up and hair was done...NEVER!  This was all before digital cameras and nifty software.

  I was just going through my photo's on my computer.  There's more of my Husband than there are of me.  The last picture I took that I actually liked was my wedding picture.  I was 'fat' in it, but I was taking it on like a photo shoot.  Unfortunately, that picture didn't scan well when I tried to scan it 5 years ago.  I wish I could re-do it, but the scanner's still packed in a box, lol!

  I'll post it for you.  It's very grainy and pixilated (is that a word?)! 

  Hope I made a little sense...got some new medication, lol!

  i'm flattered at the dedication, but come now, i'm just this guy. i think you'd do better to dedicate this to danette, daily, mom and JD, all of whom actually have posted pics IIRC.
  
  i'm fantastically unphotogenic. or perhaps i'm just not that good-looking. :>
  
  btw, my reluctance to share pics of myself online is well-nigh legendary in some parts. :>

  I don't know that I am photogenic, but I will pose and smile for the occasional snapshot.  I try to think of them as memories and not so much of how ghastly I think I look.

  Paper,

  I was so pissy after and during the time that I wrote this.  We've been in this house for almost a year and our scanner is still in the box.  The thing is so old, I said "screw it" and went on-line looking for a new one.

  I did the buy on-line and pick up in store thing.  My Sister was able to drive me this evening so I didn't have to do it alone. 

  My Husband was PISSED when I walked in the door with it!  LOL!  I've got it up and running!  I was able to add my favorite 2 pictures on the grand piano from our wedding.  I added a couple of more.  There's a story behind the picture at the farm.  I'll have to post about it later.

  Thanks to you, I have a new scanner! Thanks sista!
