So I work in a Medical Clinic, no big deal. Anyways I will get right to the point. There are about ten of us who work real close, side by side and a few months ago our supervisor who is hardly at our site decided to post a "Lead" position. O.K., good this has been overdue for some time. Well, a close co-worker applied for it and majority voted her in because of the fact that she was already doing what the position implied.
This is the part where it gets ugly. As time went on (mind you it's only been 7 months; she got what we as co-workers call "penis-envy") that's right she's too busy trying to look and live like a big-wig and follow her husbands foot steps and has gotten real bossy. To make matters worse have of her daily routine is not job related and also she does not do patient contact as much (yes, it's in her job description).
But one day she went too far and pushed two employees over the edge. Two employees that is that have been there much longer than she. The big deal; they both told her "Fuck off!". Yes these two emplyees got spoken to, but I don't not disagree with what they said. This is America where we can say whatever we want, but not push and shove people around.
I cannot begin to tell you how many complaints have been filed about her, but every time she called in she puts on the crying act and they let her go home for the rest of the day, sometime the following day as well.
I have so much stress behind all of this as well as many of my co-workers. I have not quit because I don't feel I should be the one to leave. I have come close, but I do know that since she is married to a navy boy that soon she will be gone....sometime this year.
Unfortunately tomorrow is another day of her crap to listen to. Although I have gotten better at not letting her get to me.
I feel better. Thanks SC for letting get this off my chest!
