First, no fair using wikipedia! This is a term my father told me about because it describes him to a tee. I am also one, and I'm proud to say that my boys are following my footsteps and are also ferroequinologists.

A ferroequinologist is someone who loves and studies "Iron Horses" or who is a railfan. In other words, they love trains.

No fair Zayda, you guessed it too easily! My father is a leading authority on California railroads and engines, and after moving to Oregon, is quickly becomeing an authority there as well. He has written many articles, has had many of his pictures published, and have given numerous speeches and slide shows. I have been chasing trains my whole life! And I'm proud that my boys are just as fascinated as I was (and still am). There's just something so nostalgic about them! And, luck us, we live in a train town!
