All I can say is WOW!

It seems that many of my fellow soulcasters are serious addicts! Truly, I am amazed at how many posts some of you are able to crank out each day. I think I spend 90% of my time reading as many posts as possible so I don't fall way behind. It's almost like school; I feel so unworhty somehow. The best I can manage is once a day @ most!

What's the secret? How do you all find the time?

honestly, i go through fits and starts with my posting and commenting.  there may be some days when i actually manage 4-5 posts in one day. (and not a single one of those may be anything more than something trivial) other days, i may manage one.  and there are times when i may not post for 4-5 days.

for me, it really simply depends on how much is going on at work, with family, and life outside of soulcast.  right now, for instance, is a busy time of year for me because the new term starts soon at school, so i am gearing up to teach classes.  so, my posting and commenting may substantially decrease for a few days.  and because i am teaching more classes this term than i have in the last two, i will probably consistenly post and comment less.

    Hi Zayda,

Do you teach Collage? (I forget) I ask because my husband is teaching his first class ( subbing for a prof. out on sick leave) starting on Wednesday.
He's also an Industrial Designer for an international company so this should
be interesting. He does NOT deal with stress well.  I'm sure his stress will cause me to blog more rather than less.
I'm nervous for him but excited at the same time.

Hope your semester goes well and you get to visit often!

i blog from work. given the amount of time i spend in the office, i think it's only fair that i give myself what scott adams, dilbert creator, termed a "stealth raise". :D

i also periodically blog at home, but i try to avoid it--i don't want to lose out on quality time w/ my wife.

I do it to avoid ANY contact with my spouse. She has to come
looking for me..I duck down behind the computer but my
"dog tide, that lives in a shoe" always comes around the desk
to give me away..BAD DOG !!!!

any how..I love teaching..I taught middle school for 2 semesters
but I learned to love the kids and hate the parents..Never mind
I refuse to bo there just now...
blogging is fun..I love people..makes it sooo much easire...

    Oh definitely! Writerspirit!

I joined end September....and after learning the in and outs, I challenged myself one day...I think it was the holidays, and my hubby and girls were in our house in the country, so I had time and the flat  - apartment, I have to read if you are from the States, I come from Europe, lol - for myself.

I am not sure...one starts if I remember it right with 5, then 7 and ultimately - we have to ask ed, as he is the most prolific - 10 post a day.

I was ecstatic as I was allowed to post 7...and  I hate wasting , lol...I so, I did!  It was mostly a hommage to SoulCast, and a manual for newbies...

Well, I was (am) a drama Queen...I left quietly emotionally enraged mid-November....and foolishly deleted all my blogs.  I regretted it ~sigh~ .  Imagine 5 SoulCast pages - I am not  sure how many blogs each page since they changed one SC feature...It use to be the whole blog could be seen without clicking on the blog...now you have to click in to read the entire blog to read what it is all about since you only have a description of what it is about and the tags....

Now, I check you have a page with 15 blogs...

    I am curious...if it is only half...so 7 multiplied by 5 is.....arrrrrgh 35+ deleted blogs!

I have managed to re-post one.  And it is like writing two blogs...but ultimately boring, and it twicks the heart more than some because of memories from bloggers not there anymore....gone, perhaps forever in SoulCast world....

Hey!  Memorylane....life could occasionally be intense in SC....4 months seems like a lifetime...

    Nostalgic,

    paper~

Writerspirit--Yes, I teach at a university.  :)  Oh, I remember the first class I taught years ago when I was in my first semester of my Master's program.  I was nervous...no, strike that, I was a bit terrified to be honest.

I had substituted before that, while I was in college, at the high school I graduated from.  I will never forget that.  I was substituting for classes filled with kids that I had been in school with just 2 - 3 years before.

    Hi writerspirit,

I've always been a bit different (LOL).....I posts when I have something to say......sometimes that's a couple of times a day, otherwise it might be a week or two between posts.  I often have more fun reading and commenting on others' posts.

ws: HI. USED TO POST AS MANY AS POSSIBLE, BUT NO TIME THESE DAYS. Cheers.
  • CreativeWoman said on Jan 09, 2007....
I'm lucky to just get one or two posts in a day.  I don't think I've ever come close to posting the limit in one day.

Like satyr, I have a lot of fun bouncing around on other blogs and commenting.

    oh yeah!

I'm an SC addict, though I don't post as much, I do go around commenting on other people's blog. I love reading about them.

most of my workday is spent writing, editing, reading, teaching, and admin grunt work -- with the newspaper, website, and institution i currently work with. so it isn't really hard to shift from there to blog mode during breaks and free time at home. but between blogging and my so-called life around these mtn trails, the latter gets priority much of the time.

    Thanks for the feedback all!

Ya, I can definitely see how this becomes addictive. It's fascinating looking into other people's lives and being able to interact with whom ever you choose.

    I LOVE IT HERE!

writer spirit, I'm amazed too and I guess it's so much better than I thought. I blog whenever I can at home at work, at home my hubby is a movie editor so often spends 18 hrs working so I get to write and blog.
The interaction is wonderful and really you can say anything you want (although I don't want to hurt peoples feelings so I'm aware of that) enjoy and I will be looking through your posts!
