Looks like I'm in good company today!
 
It must be migraine season. Either that or a result of the kids being on their Christmas vacation for another three days. God please grant me the strength to live through it ( and keep from killing them as well) -kidding-
 
Must sleep now.

    Hope you are feeling better by the time you read this comment.  I have found that the older I have become the more often I get headaches.  Esp round the time just before my period. . .I go to bed taking tablets and wake up with a throbbing pain.  I do, however, believe that if i ate a whole lot healthier i would feel much better.

    Your kind words keep me from trying to hang myself.  Unfortunately, I still have this damn headache and it's now 36 hrs+, AHHHHHHHHH!
    Life in the Rockies; I guess it's the price I pay for my beautiful view.
     
    I've always thought Arizona would be the ideal climate because it's so stable. Anyone out there who can confirm or deny?

    winter; my youngest daughter now 28 suffered greatly with migraines. She
    still gets them, but not with the intensity she had when younger.
     
    We took hear to the Mayo Clinic and the University of Salt Lake Medical
    Center. Specialist all.
     
    They weren't able to do much for her and I don't think climate helps much
    either.
     
    She found this stuff called Head On, and it's really helped her. You just rub
    the stuff on the area where the pain is concentrated. She's had good luck
    with it. Maybe it would help you........hope so !

    Writerspirit, there is nothing better to a migraine sufferer than connecting with the few other sufferers out there who truly know the Hell you go through. I thank God my husband is an understanding man, he doesn't have headache problems, but tries really hard to understand those times when my world has to come to a screeching halt. I had a stroke when I was 19, and then major brain surgery to remove the growth that was killing off my brain. That was 17 years ago, and I know I am lucky to be alive. But I have had a migraine for 17 years! It's hard sometimes to be thankful for a life of chronic pain... I feel for you! I hope you have found some ways to give yourself some relief. I use Maxalt, a sleep mask and a CD of a mountain stream and forest sounds. Good luck and hang in there!

    Mobil - thanks, I will try that. I was skeptical due to the obnoxious commercials Ed mentioned. Anythings worth a shot, especially since my prescription only works if I catch it early.
     
    Magpye - I'm sorry to hear about your condition. I hope you find some relief, at least on occasion. I too use a sleep mask, floral water mist and meditation. I've never tried the CD thing but it sounds like a great idea; thanks!
