Over the last 2 days we got about 6 inches of fresh snow here in town. Then the clouds blew away and the temps dropped. It was 15 this am, and will get down to zero tonight. So now we have ice to contend with. And all these tourists in town, who don't know how to drive in snow OR ice. Add to that the fact that we have at least 4 roundabouts, which city folk aren't used to either, and it all makes for some sloppy driving.
Some questions I have about driving in the snow: Why don't people adequately warm up their car? Drives me crazy when they pull out in front of you, obviously not warmed up, and they putter in front of you and make you slow down. And why would they not wipe all the snow off their car? Do they not know that it can be a dangerous obstacle to come to a stop and have a wall of snow cover their windshield? Or do they think it looks cool, driving around with snow piled up on the car?
Sorry, just venting. Can't wait for the tourists to go home! Oh, I promise to be nice to them in the meantime! "Hello sir, how can I help you today?"
